Chophouse - Restaurant in Morrisville - 151 Airgate Dr, USA

A very nice steakhouse, excellent food, great service from our waiter: Stefan, who paced our meal to perfection. Unfortunately for me, I ordered an aged (40day) steak medium and I really should have taken medium rare or even rare as the quality of the meat was excellent. What a shame, Stefan, push me for more red, more rare, I would have said yes! (Next time) the entrees were eaten so fast, I have no pictures, but they were all great. A must return, Chophouse, a very nice evening.

Hidden gem, tucked away where the airport hotels are. Don't be fooled with that. We had the lamb shank entree and lobster Mac cheese side. Oy! Big chunks of lobstah and definitely didn't skimp on the cheese. We were on our way to New England so we'll be able to compare but this lobster Mac and cheese was wolfed down. The lamb shank was on par with other ones I had at other well established steakhouse. I can tell it was braised correctly and barely a hint of the gaminess that comes with lamb meat. Again, we inhaled this one too. The best part I'd say was the customer service. We like sitting in the bar (best place to people watch) and our bartender, Macy, was very attentive and on point. We had to wait a bit for the shank (they had a large group in the main room and the kitchen was behind). Macy asked the manager to comp. They did and subsequently she and the management were very apologetic to us. Wow! They didn't really have to; we're not in a hurry. That really sold us to this place. Will definitely stop here again the next time we fly out of Raleigh Airport. BTW, we tipped her almost the equivalent to the comped entree. Not required but the service and experience were excellent. Plus my kiddos worked in the industry so we appreciate the hard work each restaurant put in.

This place should easily have been 4 ⭐ review. The setting is really nice, and when I walked in I was pleasantly greeted. However, this is when things started to go downhill.... I was seated at the Bar - before anyone else was at the Bar, and only a few people were in the bar area, point is, it wasn't busy. But, it still took a long time to get service, to order a drink and food. Finally I get a Red Oak Beer 🍺 (see photo) she under served it to me, leaving about a 1.5 inch gap at the top. By now another man was seated a the Bar, he obviously must have been a regular as he and the Bartender were chatting it up. Great 👍, meanwhile I was being ignored and not given the opportunity to order. Finally I get my order for a hamburger 🍔 in with a baked potato 🥔. Time goes by..... He gets his food and even finished eating it, while talking to the Bartender - I'm really wondering what happened to my order? 🤔💭🕠 The bartender seemed to notice me looking at the other guy finishing eating, and she tells me, "they're plating your food now".... Great 👍 I think!..... 5+ minutes later my Burger 🍔 and baked potato 🥔 shows up! 🥳 But elation quickly turned to disappointment 😞 as the burger was not tasty, the beef patty was much smaller than the bun, and tasted dry to me. The baked potato 🥔 was good 👍 however to be fair, too bad they didn't put that same effort into the $20 hamburger. Total bill with tip was about $35 and I won't be returning if you're curious 🧐

Husband took me and the kids out to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. I absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was top tier. Our server was Britton and she was lovely. Very attentive and considerate of my kids and just an overall lovely attitude. Would definitely recommend for any occasion. I would love to visit again. Thank you so much!

While we always love the food here (crab dip to DIE for), I also wanted to share what a wonderful experience they provided at dinner last night. After a bit of a miscue once we were seated (no server for 10-15 minutes) we alerted the manager and hostess and they immediately apologized and hopped into action to make sure absolutely everything was made right. Managers came over to check on everything and had complimentary bisque brought out to start the meal. My dessert (mile high cake - oh MY!) was also on the house. (Phenomenal because it literally was my birthday dinner!!) The wait staff (Eddie is a rock star) and management took what could have been a very disappointing experience and turned it into such a wonderful evening. In my opinion, you do not experience this level of customer service and the genuine concern to go above and beyond in many establishments anymore. Delicious food, yes, but also an uncommonly wonderful level of customer service. Thank you, Chop House for an outstanding dinner and memorable birthday! We will definitely be back again (and again!!)

Food was good. Service was slow. Wait staff started to blow out the candles on MY birthday cake (COVID/FLU). She actually blew out one of the candles. Then the kicker... the staff turned off the lights in the dining room we were sitting in waiting for our credit card back and did NOT turn them back ON. They said it was an accident but why not turn them back on. Extremely rude! These incidents ruined my birthday dinner.

Kate is a rock star. She was our server, and the bar tender. She never missed a beat and had a great personality. The food was very good. I'll return to the Chophouse when I'm back in the area. **Returned for dinner on 19MAY23. Food was still great and service was attentive without hovering. **Back again on 07OCT23. Food is still great and Cassidy did a great job.
