We love this place. So many trails to explore, the inside is phenomenal and my kids learn something new everytime we come. There are like animals to check out, tons of hands on activites as well. I always recommend this cool spot to everyone with kids looking for something slower paced and very hands on.
Everyone was very nice here and the visitor center was very clean with lovely and educational displays. It made for a great homeschool trip.
An excellent way to spend some time outdoors. We enjoyed the nature center and a hike.
Beautiful park, well maintained, lots of educational experiences.
This is my favorite park in all of the tri-city area! Lots of walking trails that are well marked, the trails are maintained very well, and you will see lots of wildlife, especially if going earlier in the day. It is a great place to see lots of birds, especially during migration season. The bugs aren’t usually too bad, but you may want some bug spray just in case. The only downside is no dogs allowed, but I understand that is to protect local wildlife. Added bonus is that it’s totally free!
What an incredible find this place was. Not only is the nature center spacious with a bowed window are overlooking the woods and river but the displays are easy to get up close too. The small gift shop offered honey made there and was inexpensive and very good. Maple syrup was also available . The walking trails are plentiful and although we only took one today, it was along the river and very scenic. The homestead village with schoolhouse sugar house mill and farm was a pleasure to wander through with a few sheep chickens pigs and cows. A large garden with heirloom vegetable and a smaller kitchen garden was on site. A variety of apple trees graced the wooden house.
If you are looking for a peaceful place to walk or run and to enjoy Nature, this is the place. There is paved and unpaved trails through the preserve and the wetlands. A true gem. They offer so many fun events for all ages. So worth the time to check it out. The Nature Preschool is awesome as well!!
Worth the visit. Lots of trails with bathrooms, small visitor center with animal displays. Had some paved trails. Very scenic and upkept even in the middle of winter. (Note not all reason are groomed during winter)

This place is definitely a gem in Midland. Staff is super friendly, environment is inviting. There is a small dining area. Food is delicious. The Bruschetta Toast is Amazing but anything on the menu is worth the try.
This place is perfect to go with the kids! Don't forget to stop by the cafe near the children's playground, they have delicious treats ð Would definitely recommend a day trip from Detroit, it's really worth it!
Stopped by for lunch while doing some contract work in town and wow! I love the vibe here. The Fiesta Salad was very good as was my tea latte. They have vegan options and a decent assortment of loose leaf teas for sale as well.
First time visiting. We had hot and sour soup and lentil, the bread basket and the a combination plate. The food was delicious. We will be back. Thank you
