I had been to another preserve and was pleasantly suprised at how nice this one was. Tons of ducks, lotrs of water some ponds the algae was high, saw a couple turtles. Very nice walk in nature. Got some great pictures of dragonflies. Bring a bottle of water didn't see faucets. There were a couple porta poties with hand wash stations. didn't see water faucets but it was a very pleasant area.
This lovely little park is a hidden gem, especially after the rain. The wetland is next to the water quality lab, just nearby our place and it's well maintained. You can get in touch with nature super easy here and enjoy a small hike.
Been here for 2 different photo shoots. It's such beautiful place for it. I haven't walked the entire place but where I've been has been beautiful. It's clean, very well kept.
This place is amazing. So much to see, from different plants to the ponds to the pipe garden. I loved it all and will check out again soon.
Nice little trail, even ground with crushed gravel path. Plenty of parking. I was the only person my entire walk on a Monday evening. Very peaceful!
We visited the wetlands because we were curious what it would be like. It was a good thing that I used google maps directions because I would never have figured the entrance into the park was gravel. That said although the parking area was gravel it was well manicured. We got there around 11:00 AM and it was already warm so I felt fortunate I could park under a tree. We were the only car in the parking area.
The path’s are gravel as well. There is a aesthetically pleasing covered area that gives historical information regarding water in the area. It was set up so one could take their time reading the displays.
Throughout the park there were areas of interest as well as a amphitheater that holds quite a few people. The park is set up so schools can have field trips to the park and learn about the wetlands. The amphitheater obviously is set up for school children to sit and learn.
There are a lot of trees and shrubs as well as an area where there are picnic tables. Again perfect for an eating area for the students that are there on a field trip. We saw some ducks in the pond. What was interesting was what appeared to be algae covering the water. The ponds are recycled water. There is no fishing in the ponds.
Overall it was a decent visit and worth going there.
Very cool, was here for a school trip recently, amazing scenery and wildlife, I'm glad many people care about Cali's native plants, and educate others on it, its not everyday you realize what belongs in our state and what doesn't(Referring to the Invasive Species that took over majority of Southern Cali)
Its a beautiful place to meditate and take in the animal sightings in their natural habitat. There is alot informative placards in the surrounding hiking areas. Loved the first time visit would visit again.
