Chino Bandido offers a unique culinary experience, blending Asian and Mexican flavors seamlessly. The fusion of dishes like Jade Red Chicken and Jerk Fried Rice is creative and flavorful. The casual atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a must-try for those seeking something beyond traditional cuisine. Chino Bandido not only delights the taste buds but also offers great value for money. The prices are reasonable, considering the generous portions.
Visited on a whim and it was fantastic! This place offers a wide menu selection, from rice bowls to burritos and quesadillas, allowing for customization with various bases and proteins. There’s also a free cookie that comes with your order! The generous portions, reasonable prices, and quick, friendly service made it a great experience. The spacious, clean, and vibrant atmosphere sets it apart from your typical Chipotle. If you're after a quick and satisfying meal, this spot is a must-try. I'll be returning for sure!
The food was delicious if you enjoy spicy food I would recommend the Pollo Diablo and jerk chicken, if you don't do spicy but like more sweet go for the Jen red pork or the jade red chicken. The teriyaki sauce is really good as well. The jerk fried rice and black beans were very flavorful.
Flew down in a small plane with a friend from the area, and tried out Chino Bandido. He raved about it, and I wanted to give it a shot, since it was featured on DDD. Having personally appeared on an episode of DDD at a friend's restaurant, I'm a fan of DDD places. The menu was a little confusing, as it wasn't exactly clear what sides/amounts came with what items. I'm sure for locals, and those who frequent this place, it's less confusing. Staff was pretty friendly, but didn't necessarily go out of their way to explain things when asked. Food wait time was normal. The food was perfectly acceptable. I wasn't wowed. I got the jerk chicken, and the jade red chicken. My friend got the Pollo Diablo. Both the jerk and Diablo chicken were supposed to be the most spicy, but I didn't think either one was particularly spicy. The Jade Red almost had more spice. Considering the hype, I was a little let down. The food was good, but it wasn't amazing. None of the flavor profiles really stood out. After a while it all just kind of blended together. The cookies were a little old/stale. We got there right at opening. Maybe some of the stuff was leftover from the day before. Rumor is the restaurant is different than when it appeared on DDD. Allegedly, the owner divorced/remarried. One wife got the original recopies featured on DDD, and the other wife got the restaurant and name. In summary - it was good, but not amazing. I might eat there again if I flew back to the area, but I would also probably look for other featured restaurants in the area. Unlike MayMoes in Logan UT, I wouldn't fly in just for this.
I love the concept of this place. Always good, but they definitely give less food now then last year! Staff is friendly, and the flavors are fun. Jade chicken, dark fried rice, and machaca are pictured here.
I have been coming to Chino Bandido's every time I visit Phoenix for 12 years now. It's a must stop for my rare visits here. Always tastes amazing. While I have tried the whole menu, the Jade Red Chicken, the Jerk Chicken, the Fried Rice, and the Black beans are where it is at!!! I even order extra most times to take on the plane trip home. Snickerdoodles are fresh and perfect. My warning is if it's your first time, don't come in with expectations, the unique Cajun, Mexican, Chinese fusion you will not have tried anywhere else in this world, you will love it though!
Was very impressed. Food was great. Tried 3 different types proteins. Service was great!
Chino's is always a solid choice – it never disappoints! The service is friendly & quick! They have a variety of food choices/combo options including some healthier stuff and it's all just as tasty! The cookies are phenomenal especially the chocolate volcano 🤤
This place was almost a 30 minute drive but well worth it. Asi Es La Vida is the real deal, authentic Mexican cuisine. Place is tiny but so charming. Besides the food being so delicious, our server was also excellent. To make the night perfect, there

What an amazing place! Everything was made to order! Fresh fruit, juices and fruit water. I really enjoyed the fruit cocktail with granola and yogurt. It was very big and fairly priced. Excellent and friendly service. I will definitely come back spec
Authentic!! Itâs like Nana is in the kitchen cooking, you wonât find better Mexican food!! Itâs amazing. Not ideal for large groups or parties. Itâs more of a takeout place, and the area isnât the best. Itâs a joke in the wall but my gooo
This is my absolute bar-none pinnacle best of the best Mexican food on this planet. I live 30 plus minutes away and go frequently and the drive is well worth it. I've tried several things but always fall back to the Carne asada burrito. The tortillas
I woke up craving chilaquiles. I found this place in Goggle with great reviews, so we decided to try it. It's definitely a hole in the wall hidden downtown Phoenix. We walked in and got a pretty cold welcome saying "you can sit anywhere you want." Th

This place is awesome! Great atmosphere and super tasty food. We went for breakfast and had the chilaquiles and the Consuelo plate. Both very tasty, salsa is so rich in flavor. Service was excellent. Place is clean and their music is not too loud so
Chips and salsa are the first impression of any Mexican restaurant and let me say, this was a delicious first impression. The chips are nice and thick and the salsa is fresh made, chunky, and just the right amount of spice. My wife and I got some tac
Very much enjoyed our meal here. Tried the enchilada trio, crispy tacos, and Arizona burrito. All were excellent. I don't normally order crispy tacos but another patron was raving about them so I gave it a try. They were very good. Normally crispy ta

This place is great! The food was outstanding and the waitress who is the chef's wife, was absolutely amazing! She is a sweet lady and gave us great suggestions. We waited like 5-10mins to be seated and food came quickly. I wish I can try everything
