We made an unexpected stop here and it was delightful. Great walk next to the river with nice seating areas.
I personally loved the place. Pay the ticket at the entrance and either drive 2 miles to the parking lot or choose Four Seasons hiking route. From the parking lot you have two options. Either take the stairs and enjoy great views or ride an elevator to reach the top. Great experience!! Don’t forget to visit when you are in Carolinas; fall season should give and extra ordinary view!
Great place ro stop and enjoy the picnic by the river. Venture down ro the boulders and refresh in the river.
Great hike to chimney rock. Continuing on to the skyline trail wasn't worth it. I'd recommend stopping at Exclamation Point. The hike down to waterfall bottom was definitely worth it!
lot's of steps, waterfall was nice, mainly frozen.the one that was probably more like a hike was closed, due to ice
Great Little spot to watch the river and walk along it briefly. Such a great place to visit. A must for outdoor enthusiasts. Especially Chimney Rock State Park.
My lady brought us here because she came here as a kid. She had many fond memories and the park did not disappoint .
I absolutely loved this place. We only made it as far up as the flag. It has a lot of stairs to climb up to it and I am overweight, have knee and back issues and with a few breathing stops was able to make it up and then downstairs to the parking lot.

Located just past the hubbub of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, Hickory Nuts Falls is a great spot to call home for a weekend. We went in early November, so most of the Fall colors had made their appearance. This is a pretty small family-owned campground
We loved our stay here. The whole family went and got several rooms. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable. The location is perfect. The outdoor kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prep your own food but there are great restaur
Great food, service, and atmosphere. Server never let our drinks run low, had the fried pickles and mushrooms and they were stellar. Got the hottie burger it lacked little salt but otherwise it was amazing. Walking in we weren't greeted but it is a
