We had a wonderful time at The Chimes last weekend. Our rooms (Guest Room 1) were perfect for us- my husband, myself and my son whom we were dropping off at Tulane. The location is perfect to walk to restaurants and shops, and it is within driving distance of all the spots we wanted to visit. The courtyard is such a beautiful spot to enjoy coffee and/or a glass of wine. All of the guests were so friendly, too. Jill was a perfect host! We will definitely be back over the next four years as often as possible. Thank you!
I recently went on a journey across the US for my vacation. I decided to stay at the Chimes Bed and Breakfast after doing much research. It was absolutely the best decision. Jill and her husband are just wonderful people. The room I had was clean, well stocked, charming and quiet. It was exactly what I was searching for! If you are looking for somewhere that you can just relax, and not stay at a regular hotel or air b&b then, this is your place. From start to finish it was the best experience ever.
Our stay at Chimes was wonderful. It has everything you need for a visit to New Orleans. We stayed in the carriage house for a long weekend of exploring New Orleans. -clean, well appointed room with amazing beds and pillows. -walking distance to streetcar, Magazine street, food and music. -Jill, the owner, is a wealth of knowledge to get you into the deeper culture and food -charming courtyard and quiet. Oh, to be in a neighborhood. When we return, this will be the place we stay.
On my business trip to New Orleans, a colleague suggested The Chimes as a place to stay. The place exuded tranquility and serenity, providing a comforting sense of home. The hostesses’ exceptional warmth and hospitality made my stay truly memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this charming bed and breakfast for anyone seeking a secure, peaceful, and welcoming haven.
The Chimes was an amazing stay and Jill is a delightful host. The rooms are sequestered in an intimate, lush courtyard setting. Beautifully appointed rooms with wonderful touches to ensure anyone's needs or desires are met. No details are overlooked. Sparkling clean! Wonderful, comfortable bed. And the coffee - oh my! The street was quiet and in a lovely, historical neighborhood well located for the fun, shops and great eats one expects when visiting NOLA. The Chimes deserves my highest recommendation and I look forward to staying again!
In the lovely Garden District, Chimes is a welcomed & comfortable change of pace from the city. Carriage house is nicely decorated and very clean. Walking distance to shops & restaurants. Coffee available every morning in the garden and the breakfast offered is delicious. Owners couldn't have been nicer and I look forward to an opportunity to come back here.
We’ve been coming to the Chimes every year, barring Covid, since 2013. I think that probably is a recommendation in itself. What draws us back? Yes, of course, the location, the ease of access to the city, the fact that it’s only a short stroll to Magazine Street, the safety of the neighbourhood, the comfort of the rooms, the peaceful courtyard. But above all, it’s the warm welcome from our hosts, Jill and Charles, and the inclusive atmosphere they create. They have created a haven of inclusivity and peace. We’ll be back.
My daughter and I loved our stay at the Chimes Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in Guest Room 2 for 2 nights and Guest Room 1 for 2 nights. Both rooms were spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed. Was very quiet, peaceful, and just an Uber ride away from the French Quarter. We loved being walking distance away from great shopping and restaurants on Magazine Street. Would definitely come back.
