Childrens Park Daniel Island - Park in Charleston - 101 River Landing Dr, USA

I had a follow-up appointment at at The Southeastern Spine Institute. After great news, we decided to venture out and bypass going home immediately. It was a beautiful day for a walk with my Soulmate. Loving one another and loving our Creator's beautiful works. This is a newly constructed park. It is on the waterfornt. Public access to the pier for fishing and crabbing, is available. I truly hope it stays that way. Now, our bad experience at this beautiful place. We wanted to get ice cream at the newly open market store. I think the name is, The Dine. We went to the outside walk up window, after we tried going inside because the doors were locked. This first walk up we waited about 3 minutes, no one seemed to notice us. We saw restroom signs and decided to go to the restroom and come back. The second time at the walk-up window we waited 5 minutes or longer, no one seemed to notice us again. My Soulmate and I were talking loud enough to be heard. We looked over the menu still no one responded. Then a Caucasian woman walked up, we let her in front of us. Immediately, an employee comes to the window to service her. After she was done ordering, I really felt some kind of way. Were We just served a plate of bias, discrimination, or prejudice? So, we decided to bring this to the employee attention. I said, "You and your other employee came immediately to the window and took this lady's order.". We waited here two different times for over 5 minutes." Why you guys didn't notice us? However, you noticed this lady as soon as she got to the window. Why you did notice us? However, the employees said, they couldn't see us. Really, Google Map People, do you believe that? Needless to say, we lost the taste for their ice cream.

Such a cute little spot, lots of kids here for a week day _ was neat to see !

Just missing a large public bathroom and some shelters

They changes they've made over the last year has taken a great place to walk, sit, play or just gaze into a must go. Wow.. they did a fantastic job making over an already wonderful place. Oh, and there's a small beach at low tide. Dog approved.

In Daniel Island, oh what a treat, A children's park that can't be beat! With slides and swings and monkey bars too, There's so much fun for me and you. The jungle gym is oh so tall, And we can climb it, one and all. The sandbox is a place to play, And build castles all through the day. There's even a splash pad to cool off, And water sprays that make us scoff. We'll run and jump and splash around, Until our energy is all wound down. So come on over to Daniel Island, And let's play at the park, it's so grand! We'll laugh and shout and have so much fun, Until the day is finally done.

A wonderful place to enjoy!

Great park for a hot day. Sprinklers are almost always running even at night time. Times are posted. There is a great little cafe during daytime hours for food and drinks. Boardwalk and doc close by with Sandy Beach at the right tide. Parking is easy traffic is light once you're there. Tables right next to the sprinklers for an easy lunch

My granddaughter loved it, yes there isn't much to it but kids sure do love it.
