This place is amazing! It's huge and is filled with so many things for children of all ages to do. I took my nephew who is nearly 2 here and we spent hours exploring and having fun. I loved how there was not simply one section for him to play in due to how young he is instead he could go everywhere and explore everything! Each area had levels of things to explore based on age so my nephew got to experience the whole building. Another favorite thing about this building is things are local from a local grocery shop and diner inside to the local news station and Amtrak. Not only do they have an amazing interior their outdoor play area is next level as well with jungle gyms and a water play area for warm days. There is an arts and crafts area as well where young minds can create with all kinds of mediums and materials and I love they have bins to use recycled good. There is a carousel inside that is 3 dollars a ride. Lots of open space and the place is kept clean. The bathrooms are spacious and also kept clean. Staff is very friendly, helpful and present you never have to go try to track them down. Admission is 9 dollars which is well worth it. You will not be disappointed with your visit here. I highly recommend it.
I highly recommend the Children Museum! If you haven't been lately there are many new things to do! We all had so much fun!
Absolutely fantastic place for kids! Our son had an amazing time playing and exploring which was lovely to see. Would definitely recommend for children of young ages (up to 10 definitely).
This was such a fun trip to enjoy with my nibblings! The grownups had almost as much fun as the children! If I lived around here with young children, I'd join the membership.
We went to the special need’s evening event and it was wonderful. We did find some of the exhibits had some accessibility challenges that could be improved, however, the experience as a whole is fantastic. The staff are amazing and so caring. The carousel is phenomenal including the way they can use a ramp for wheelchair access. (Extra recognition to the staff member running it for an excellent job! Patient, knowledgeable cheerful and handled a variety of customers needs with ease.). There’s a large age/developmental range that can enjoy what is there because there is so much imagination and self directed play encouraged even parents can have a little fun if they allow themselves to.
I took my 2 granddaughters (3 y.o. & 1 y.o.) on a spur of the moment visit. What an amazing time we had. Every exhibit was detailed enough to give the best experience but not over complicate. I must take a moment and rave about the staff!!!! Everyone I interacted with was outstanding at their role. I didn’t ask for their names but the front desk/greeter, the carousel attendant and one of the art studio helpers were not phased at all by my super inquisitive toddler. Trust me they helped make the visit a positive experience as well. Kudos to them! I plan to come back ASAP with my all 3 of my grands.
My short-attention span toddler and I spent 3 hours here and she could have stayed longer! She got to dress in a space costume, ride a merry-go-round, buy and sell healthy fruits and vegetables, sell train tickets, ride the “train”, play in the dinner, walk through a cave, investigate dinosaur bones, milk a cow, conduct water experiments, and more. Her favorite part was the art area!! My daughter spent at least an hour creating multimedia art with repurposed supplies they had available. The art area is well organized and has so many supplies for creative children to use. We also loved the color-your-own dinosaur where she could color dinosaur pages and scan them in, then see her dinosaur moving around on the huge screen. So cool!!!
Best Kids museum I have been too. Great layout. Lots of different themed rooms. Grocery Store, apple picking, news reporter, dinosaur room, jungle gym, farm, ambulance, water section, outdoor park, and more. Our 2 year old had a blast.
