Good history about the early days of the Gunflint Trail. Nice displays, written records, videos, interactive displays, friendly staff. Not a huge museum but very well done.

Well worth a visit. You can tell a lot of time and effort has been and is being put into this place. Learn a lot about the history of the area. See a resort type cabin and a trapper type cabin. Also see lots of historical canoes and other small boats.

There is a gold mine of historical information about the area. Everything is very well done and the staff are very friendly. Lots to see and many trails to hike.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. There's a funny little scavenger hunt in the museum. There's a nice little gift shop. The education center was very cool and the kids liked that the best. A nice scenic drive all the way up the Gun Flint trail.

This wonderful campus is full of delights. The museum is a treasure that sensitively portrays the lives of all people of the Trail. The exhibit on cultural use of fire by Native American inhabitants was particularly interesting given the fire scares of 2021. The Nature Center helps you to understand what you might see on the hiking trails and paths that guide you through wetlands, woodland, and rocky outlooks. The Watercraft Exhibit building highlights the regions "water highways" and the vessels that moved among them. I loved the story of Benny Ambrose hauling black dirt across the lake to his home for a garden. Observing the loons on the nesting platform in the bay is magical. And the blueberries ....

This is a great little museum. Very informative. Cool things to see and a well done video you can sit and watch that is full of history. Nice walking/hiking paths as well. The people working were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back to see the other building I didn't make it to. Worth the visit and it's also a nice drive to get there.

Such a great informative little museum, so beautiful inside. Definitely need another trip up there.
