Chief Timothy Park - Featured Reviews (393)
Chief Timothy Park offers a mix of upsides and quirks, shaped by its unique setting and facilities. **Pros:** 1. **Clean and Spacious:** The park is known for its cleanliness and ample space, providing visitors with a pleasant atmosphere. 2. **Convenient Amenities:** With water, electricity, and sewer hookups, it caters to the needs of campers looking for a comfortable stay. 3. **Online Reservations:** You can secure your spot by making reservations online. Just be aware that same-day reservations aren't available after 3 pm. 4. **Easy Payment:** Arriving late? No worries, you can pull in for the night and pay either at the drop box or at the office the next day. 5. **Pet-Friendly:** For pet owners, this is a dog-friendly park, making it a good choice for those traveling with their furry companions. **Cons:** 1. **Lack of Privacy:** While spacious, it's very open, which may not suit those seeking a more secluded camping experience. 2. **Seasonal Pests:** In the fall season, the park can contend with an influx of small flies. This, however, seems to be more of a regional issue. 3. **Limited Supplies:** Be prepared; there's no on-site store for emergency purchases, so stock up on essentials in advance. In sum, Chief Timothy Park presents a clean and convenient camping option with essential amenities. While it offers a great experience overall, its open layout may not provide the privacy some campers seek. The friendly staff adds a welcoming touch, even if you'll want to be well-prepared due to the absence of a store on-site.
Easy to get to, clean, and nice views. Friendly staff. Highway is kind of loud. Wish there were more hiking and things to do in the area. We drove to wonderful museum in Dayton and had coffee/pastry while there at Moose Creek Cafe and Bakery, which was excellent!
Nice pull through spots with grass and trees. Water views with little docks. Nice walk around the island but watch out for those spiders. If you don't like spiders maybe stay away in August.
I am a single dad with 2 boys and I have been going here all summer. The people there working are some of the kindest, sweetest people I've ever met. Not only do they greet us with smiles everytime, they make that place feel like a second home. They also keep this place working great and always clean. Thank you for making this place special to us. Dave and boys
It's a nice place to camp rv hookups for cheaper then most under fifty bucks a night for full hookups I stayed in dry site for 31 plus tax and then drops down to 26 if I recall right it's forty something for the full hookup sites and its not to far from clarkston if you need supplies before u are done camping right on the lake is exactly what it is to. On the end of the lake almost
We think this park is fairly underrated. The grounds, bathrooms, and beaches are always clean. Entry is only $5 for the entire day. They are leashed dog friendly! Looking for a great afternoon? Kayaking around the entire island is easy and relaxing.
The Spiders took over this park. It is way out of control. I feel they could spray from the ground up. 24 of us went. Got bit. Had webs and egg sacks all over our vehicles. Tents. Inside too. Never will we return.
Very friendly and helpful staff, clean bathrooms. A fair bit of spiders and bugs under and around the tent, but if ure in a trailer it wouldn’t be a problem
4 of us set out to fish with Colin on the Columbia near the Klikitat River outlet. What a great day with Colin. He drops you a pick up location pin and keeps you informed 48 hrs before, that means a lot to me. He really knows his stuff and his demean
Great place for well-made coffee drinks. Friendly staff will become familiar with your usual orders rather quickly. And they love when you bring the dogs with you.
I leave here full and satisfied every time, with plenty of leftovers. I love the 32 and their queso, and always order at least one of them. Wonderful service and a beautiful building really tie it together, I love it!
We have stayed in this location a few times. Scott Thomas and his team are amazing. They are kind, the park is very clean and nice. This is my favorite place when we are in this area! Thanks everyone and keep up the good work!

Excellent customer service!! Excellent food!!!! My favorite item is their Stuffed French Toast! Even when they are understaffed they give excellent customer service. I was in earlier today and a guy was absolutely rude to the owner of momma's k's. I
This is a very beautiful park with a very significant cultural site for the Nez Peirce tribe that isn't very recognized.. I came to take pictures of the beautiful fall colors and found that there is a grave site for Chief Timothy. He was a very sign
