What a great place to spend a evening. Staff was super nice and friendly. Food was excellent, had burger and fries, can't go wrong. Popcorn was very tasty. Grounds were clean as well as the concessions. Picture was sharp and sound was great. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't.
Outstanding drive-in theater a must go in Oklahoma! With very affordable prices and food! 2 new movies for $8 (adults) and the best burgers in Chickasha! The owner takes great care of property, very nostalgic and fantastic staff!! Sound and video quality top notch too!
My family an I recently heard about this place an have went 3 weekends now, they have plenty of parking clean and very friendly staff! Their concession food is delicious. They have a great deal for a date night that includes admission an snacks for a good price :) We will be returning customers for a lifetime
We’ve loved coming here until tonight. My wife was going back to the concession stand to get a second drink, and took some old food trash from earlier in the day to the trash can on her way. When she threw it away, the owner rushed out, pulled it out of the trash and told her very angrily to leave if we were going to disrespect his business. This was after we had spent over $30 to get in and at the concession stand. My wife was in tears all the way home because of his disrespectful and hateful attitude. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue. I hate to say that we will never return, but it’s obvious that the owner doesn’t care about his customers, only getting all the money he can. My wife called after we got back home to talk to the owner, and he refused to listen and cussed her out so loudly I could hear the conversation across the room. I cannot justify giving such a hateful person any more business in the future.
BiG scream fan here!!!!! When i went to see the new movie i was surprised to see NONE of the theaters around me had the popcorn buckets or the cups! I searched for quite a while and finally heard that someone else had luck at the chief drive in movie theater. They were absolutely AMAZING in getting back to me. I paid alot less than i thought i was going to have to and they went above and beyond for their customers! Maybe one day if i go out that way i can go see a movie at their place! 10/10 experience!!! Thank you guys SO much!!!
So sad I’m writing this review. We’ve been driving down to this drive in for over 3 years. Sometimes we would come specifically for the burgers. The past 6 months, they have been unable to keep up with the increased business and have asked people to be patient. Our food orders have gone from 20 minutes to over an hour. Fine. We went this past weekend after a baseball game. It was 104 degrees on Saturday. When I paid, the attendant asked me to roll down my window so he could check the back seat… ok. I obliged. We were relatively close to the front of the line. We got in and the line for concession stand was already long. My son simply wanted something to drink (we’ve started eating before going lately, because the food is declining and taking forever). It was so hot and he was so sweaty, I finally pulled his water bottle out of his baseball bag and told him to fill it in the bathroom. He came back with hot water. He got in the concession stand line and it took 45 minutes just to reach the building. If you cannot accommodate the crowds and provide water for patrons.. you need to allow for a cooler fee. I’m all about supporting local businesses and paying what is required, Denying people access to water should be criminal. You have young children, breast feeding mothers and elderly patrons in summer heat. We will unfortunately not be back. I cannot, in good faith, continue to support this business practice. Winchester and Beacon both do cooler fees, and that is where we will be going from now on.
I am not the guy that ordinarily writes one-star reviews but the Chief Drive In Theater is going to get one. I write lots of reviews and most often they are five-star. I am going to agree with Sara, Tiffany, and Kady that the water bottle thing is genuinely stupid and petty. My wife and I drove from Noble to visit the drive in and got there late. We wondered if the place was open. We smelled a strong aroma of marijuana (I'm pretty sure it was the medical kind and not the recreational variety). We called and spoke to the angry old man with white hair (I didn't catch your name angry old man) who very rudely told us to go home when he saw our water bottles. Asked me if when we go into a regular theater if they allow them and I said yes. He said they are probably going out of business. Angry old man I sure hope you read this...do you know that the Warren Regal in Moore offers a deal where you can pay $21 each and see as many movies as you want in a month? They are not anywhere near going out of business. How many drive-in theaters exist in this country anymore and you act like a fool and tell the wrong people to leave. We were going to buy popcorn and at least two pretzels from the concession stand and probably sodas to go with them and you threw us out. You are a damned fool angry old man. I'd be interested to see how much longer your drive-in stays in business.
If you read these reviews, you’ll notice the majority of poor reviews are because of their ridiculous policy on drinks- INCLUDING WATER- and rude staff (pretty much the same two). Pushing people to not bring drinks is not helping your business; it’s harming it. I didn’t buy more concessions precisely BECAUSE employees were rude and trying to push drinks on us- even threatening “you better not have any in your car!” I get they make money off concessions only, and that’s fine- make rules saying “water only” or provide water fountains in the building. People will be more willing to spend money on food and snacks if you don’t have rude employees threatening them over water. 2 stars only because some employees were kind and helpful, and the bathrooms were well kept. Stop threatening your patrons.
