Chicken N More - American restaurant in Spokane - 414 1/2 W Sprague Ave, USA

On a 10 scale I would rate the chicken about a 7 1/2 which is a 1/2 lower than KFC Here’s the picture . Very small pieces for 8.15 I also got a Chile dog which was good but only chili beans and no meat except for the hot dog. It wasn’t bad though. The people working here are exceptionally nice and do a good job. If you are ever in Birmingham , Little Rock , Atlanta Memphis try Gus’ famous fried chicken. It will blow your mind because it’s always a 10. Been 12 or 15 times and never disappointed at any of those locations. I travel quite a bit.

Restaurant is tucked away downtown. Easy to miss but you don't want to miss this place. The food is straight Fire, talking about premium gas right here. For my elders that means the food is really good. The man at the counter was super awesome. The owners Grandson was not very photogenic he also said this place has enough 5 star reviews they didn't need mine.

First off I want to say that the people here are lovely. Excellent service, super positive and happy, obviously great teamwork from the staff. Because of this I super want to love this place, but the food was ultimately disappointing. The chicken had raw flour beneath the breading and was greasy. The gravy definitely was canned. Their food didn’t seem customized, but like they’re just serving Sysco/store bought products. The positives I had were that the Macaroni salad and hush puppies were solid. The sides of bbq, honey, and butters were large and included and I always appreciate that in a to go combo. And again the customer service. Pretty disappointing for $60

Moved to Spokane a few months ago and have really been craving some Southern cooking. This place did not disappoint! Great service, atmosphere, and food. Only wished they served homemade iced tea. The can of Arizona tea sufficed, but common.

I think I would rate this place 5 stars even if the food was terrible because the two young people working on Thursday 19 October 2023 were absolutely amazing! But the food was as amazing as these young people and I'm really glad I decided to pop in! I had the Thursday special which came with four ribs and one chicken thigh. The chicken thigh must've come from a mutant chicken it was so huge! There was the perfect amount of skin to meat ratio and the chicken was so juicy! Now the ribs...whew! The meat fell off the bone and I don't know what spices it was rubbed with but it was outstanding! Topping it off with the sauce just made it superb!

Venue is situated in a sketchy area in downtown. There is paid parking adjacent to the establishment (with random people looking into vehicles). *Do not leave your belongings in your vehicle of you plan on parking near this venue. The venue can be compared to a small hallway. There are booths present; however, place can get packed with people waiting around for orders as there is not much waiting/ standing room. Walls are decorated with Washington related sports memorabilia and news clippings. There were 2 employees manning the cashier, cooking, and calling out orders. The cashier appeared frustrated over the phone ringing & trying to manage cashier duties. The kitchen (from my view) appeared messy and cluttered. A small heater housed the pre cooked fried chicken. A customer who ordered to-go seemed annoyed as their order was changed a few times because of items that had "run out". Food is pricey for the amount served. The fried chicken was well seasoned, but the catfish fell flat. My first time going here, and my last. The "small" sides were literally that someone would serve as a taste-test. Very dissatisfied with the food and amount paid (around $55).

Couldn't say whether the fried chicken or greens were better because both were so good. There was a nice little bit of spice in the greens and gravy, although nothing to be scared of if you're sensitive to heat. I hope I get to come back and try more of the menu next time I'm in Spokane. Super friendly and fast service on my visit. Comfortable booths and fun decor. Roll of paper towels on every table, which you'll need if you order chicken like I did.

I could tell you how great the food is here but I’ll start with the people. They are one of the last African-American owned businesses in Spokane and they know what they’re doing! The folks who run the restaurant were nice enough to put in an extra rib and they have some of the best chicken this side of Texas. When the staff eat and love the food at the restaurant, you know it must be great! The menu is so rich and full of variations. Highly recommend asking the staff their not so secret custom side they made that’s not on the menu, you’ll thank me later! When I went there, they were nice enough to help another customer out with their dead cellphone and offered them water multiple times to make sure they were good and not worried (it was 100 degrees outside). I also tried the brisket sandwich, they have some great smoked meat, if you like spicy, get the pulled pork!! Go check out Chicken N More with AJ & Logan at the front lines, some real great customer service and even better cooks!! AJ’s grandfather started this wonderful restaurant and has since expanded his ventures, be sure to ask what else they have in store :)
