I regret to share my disappointing experience at this bar. The presence of a security guard with disturbingly biased behavior created an uncomfortable atmosphere for me and my female friends. It's disheartening to encounter racism towards white people and Hispanics, which goes against the principles of inclusivity and respect. Such incidents not only marred our evening but also highlight the need for urgent improvement in the bar's staff training and overall ambiance. I hope the management takes immediate action to rectify this issue and create a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons.
If you want to go to a place that knows how to turn away a potential customer! Congratulations you found the place! Bad experience equals bad reputation and hype!

Ocean Beach reliable place.. other bars across the street and to the left and right are more expensive and are doing everything that they can to not be OB.. this place is the same as it was in the 80's when it opened..
Been going to Cheswicks for many years. It's 1block from the beach. Has a window area with seating for 6/7. Great location to people watch.
Because of Covid they put up a patio, and are still using it now.
Bring cash cause they don't take plastic.
Bartender convinced herself that I gave her a 10 when I gave her a 20, situation was the most unprofessional experience of my life. I didn't even try to convince her, but she pulled out a 10 from the register and held it up as if that proved that was the bill I gave her. Used to go here often for cheap drinks, but will not be back nor will any friends.
