First time playing this course and after walking in to see Don running this course I was scared to see the condition of the course. I was not surprised that this was the worst condition that I have ever seen a golf course in. He is running Chennault Golf Course into the ground the same way he destroyed the conditions of BlackBear Golf Course during his time there. I’d recommend anywhere else.
Had my little girls Birthday party here. Has Lots of shade and was peaceful for a Saturday! Highly recommend and will be back!
Such a cute little park and golf area.
The park playground is small not much there but the place is huge and has a ton of tables. Would be perfect for a birthday or any celebration.
For a good round a golf! Here’s your course! It’s a very nice course and great greens! The staff and Pro was extremely helpful and accommodating! You have to give praise of Mr.Don first and foremost!!! The grounds crew and the lobby people!!! I would love to work their and to be able to pick up on anything or everyone.
Stellar practice facilities for a new golfer. Completely free practice green, chipping green and wedge range. The range is high quality and large buckets of balls only cost $7. Can be annoying to hit into the sun in the afternoon but you never will in the morning. Can’t ask for much more as far as golf amenities go.
In terms of course quality… yikes. I have never lost more balls in the middle of the fairway and it’s not uncommon to have weeds on the green. As far as I can tell they may as well have actual goats for greenkeepers
Enjoy this place, been playing here for years. Not the best greens, but I am far from the best player, so it works for me.
Love the layout, but the greens are rough. A friend referred to them as tee box greens. Indicating they would be great for a tee box. Staff is very friendly. Good driving range and is very cost-friendly.

Came here for some grilled oysters after a disappointing stop at another spot. Place was very nice. Great view of the river. Great service and the oystersâ¦. Chefs kiss! The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was bomb too!
Place is usually easy to get in and out of. Frozen meals make busy days' dinner easy. Better than frozen grocery store, not quite homemade. Bakery items are always fresh and good.
This is about the only place in Monroe that you can find hot tamales. There is another place but they don't stay open year round. We have been eating at Southside Coney Island for triple digit years. Yes try them out. You won't be disappointed.
