We found this to be the standard goto place for the locals. Really good menu and creative specials. Great pick for ordering take-in, or even a romantic date night. Sports bar is popular also. Easy access of US Rt.22 eastbound.
Very good food and service. I especially like the fish and chips. I ate here recently and their beer battered fish and chips have really gone downhill in terms of quality. This seemed no better than the frozen pre battered fish I could purchase at a grocery store. The service is still very good. Ate here again 9 months later and had the jerk chicken and mango wrap and it was quite good. The fries are excellent as always. I am giving 1 star ⭐️ back. 8/17/2023: Hosted my retirement luncheon here today. Annie was a spectacular waitress. She took group photos also. Thanks!
I was so looking forward to trying Chelsea’s for their Wings. They claim on their sign out front they are award winning and the best wings in Hunterdon county. NOT EVEN CLOSE! This was my first time here and I noticed they were very short staffed. There was quite a few of us waiting in the hallway for someone to come out and seat us or take our names. We waited a good 15-20 minutes before the hostess came out. The restaurant had quite a few empty tables. Once seated, our server John was very pleasant. He took our drink order and our drinks were very good. We then put in an order for 2 French Onion Soups. The French Onion Soup was very good. It had lots of flavor and was piping hot the way I like it. We then put in our order for 10 Buffalo Wings Medium heat, and 2 orders of their Basket of Fried Chicken. Our Basket of Fried Chicken came out first. It too was very good and cooked correctly. We were halfway through our meal and I asked John our server where our wings were. He said he would go check on it. It took another 10 minutes to get the wings. My bf took a bite, then I took a bite. We both noticed that the wings were very dry, chewy and overcooked. The buffalo sauce was supposed to be medium hot and it tasted very watered down nothing close to what a buffalo wing should be. We were both so very disappointed and decided not to eat the wings or take them home. THEY WERE THAT BAD! We brought this to John our servers attention. His comment was “next time you come back we’ll try and make the wings better.”The wings were not even large, just average in size. Totally not worth it. He never offered to take it off our bill. We chalked it up to disorganization. If we decide to come back it certainly won’t be for the wings, they were just HORRIBLE! FYI- our background is in culinary cooking!
Awesome Mother's Day dinner after hiking in the local area. Even though they were very busy the wait staff was extremely friendly and kind to our group and made us feel at home. Very cute restaurant and amazing food. Especially recommend the perogi nachos! Such an original and delicious idea. Very wide selection.
So close to the highway! So many great sandwiches, and awesome wings too! Our newest must stop on the drive from Hershey to Maine.
Come here all the time. The staff and the owners are great and the food is outstanding as well. This is the type of small business we all want to support and keep in our community. The owner herself is always there making you feel like family. Plus the bartenders remember your name and drinks after just being there only once
First time there everything we ordered was delicious. The shrimp were huge and calamari was soft and tender. From the homemade soup to the prime rib was perfect,so glad we tried this spot. The staff was so friendly and accommodating couldn’t ask for a better night out.
Updated review! 11/18/23 We stopped in around 4:30 on a Friday evening. Our waitress Courtney was super. Everything she recommended was right on. The chicken tender basket was excellent. My wife got the eggplant panini, very good. They had a number of vegetarian selections to choose from as well. Chelsea's is a small jewel in Lebanon, Nj. UPDATE: We stopped again last night. Erika waited on us. What a sweet waitress! We tried 2 of the specials, potato pancakes, excellent, and Olivia's steak, bring your appetite. Both were delicious. Courtney is still there, and even though she didn't wait on us she stopped to talk to us. So, we definitely recommend Chelsea's Restaurant and Pub, and you can't go wrong with Erika or Courtney.
