Absolutely a home town, mom and pop vibe. Loved that everyone who came in and out knew each other. And what’s better is the food. Ordered the carnitas empanadas and sopes Al pastor. Just delicious. Meat was wonderfully tender, didn’t need salsa at all. Food was bright and fresh. The red and green sauce was light on spice but still full of flavor. Wrapped up with a flan and I swear I could finish it in 15 seconds. The custard melted on your tongue
Absolutely amazing! Fantastic Chile Riano! Rice and beans were perfect and they make their own tortillas. Amongst other scratch med goodies! I ordered a bunch of extra food to take on the road with me also …so I can’t wait to try all of that!
I'm a California convert to Texan. On my way to visit family we stopped here because of the good ratings. I was a little disappointed. The service was good, portions were good but the burrito had barely any flavor. The sauces were not spicy and we're bland. The chicharrons we're completely stale and inedible. I guess my dogs will be happy.
This is seriously some of the best Mexican food. I travel a lot between Vegas and California and always looking for a good Mexican restaurant in between. Well I finally found one. Came again and same great quality, there should be a line out the door, this place is just that good.
I decided to check out this little corner, and it was well worth it!! Carnitas meal comes with 1 pound of Carnitas, 1 container of Rice, 1 container of beans, 1 Container of Salsa, Fresh Corn Tortillas, and 1 small container of pico de gallo with diced nopales something I have never seen before at A Restaurant, But It Was YUMMY!😋 The price for all of this was $24.00 Which is A Heck of A Deal!! We decided to get the green salsa and the red salsa to bring back home, and the young lady said she would make it Fresh WOW! Fresh Salsa I'll Take That!!😁🌶 A Must Stop little spot!!
The food was Excellent! We got the chicharrón burrito and the chile relleno and the pepino limon agua fresca! The guy who took our order is very attentive and friendly! We saw him help out a man down on his luck with some money and water for his puppy. Please support this local business.
Best carnitas tacos I've ever eaten in Barstow and California in general. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and polite. I definitely recommend this restaurant, authentic Mexican food and the quality of the ingredients is on point. I will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you very much for the great service and tasty food.
The staff was very friendly. We arrived 20 minutes after they closed and they still made our 17 tacos. They let us sit down and eat. Also they tacos were amazing!

Wow! My albondigas soup was so good, and my husband liked his carnitas burrito so well that he picked up another one the next time he went through Barstow. Totally funky hole-in-the-wall place, but the food is great! Portions are generous.
A great side trip from the main road to see some cool rock formations. The off-road trail was easy to drive, and the colors and scenery were amazing. It's a nice, quiet place to explore and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

This place is amazing. The museum is free and you get to check out a cool piece of American history. Great place for everyone of all ages. And the best part is how you can view passing trains coming along. Do bring water and a hat to combat the heat.
