Chef's Drive-In - American restaurant in Altavista - 1101 Main St, USA

Locals suggested this place for breakfast - and I loved the biscuits and country ham even though they were a bit crumbly. The home fries were on point! Chefs drive in has a big parking lot if you're in the area and locally, I'd definitely go there before I'd go to Hardee's or Mickey Ds

Cool little diner with great food and friendly service. Husband got the turkey club sandwich. It was so loaded, he had a hard time getting that first bite. Fries were hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Outstanding shakes!

LG. $5 milk shake the best I ever had in my life!! I GOT THE STRAWBERRY 🍓 CHEESE CAKE SHAKE!! YUMMY! frys were good 👍 Cheese burgers not so great, they tasted like they were cooked in the oven, no flavor at all and were Luke warm. Not sure if there's a filler in the meat but me and my husband are still full from yesterday's lunch, and our tummys hurt.

The food here is great! If you're doing takeout you'll be in and out in 10 minutes wouldn't recommend eating in there cause there's limited seating

Food was good for most. Ordered 2 burger combos and a chicken filet combo with milkshakes ran us $30.00. Made to order, took about 20 minutes after decided what wanted. If in a hurry this not the stop for you. Burgers were big and looked good. I had a chicken sandwich that i did not enjoy at all, so trashed it after 1 bite. It tasted more like a chuckwagon. Wendy's spicy chicken better and less costs. Milkshakes were good. No online menu. Here is pic of menu.

Great little mom and pop place. Very large menu for such a alittle place. Prices are very fair for the most part. Friendly staff.

The food was delicious as always...however the overall attitudes and friendliness of all staff needs improvement. In my opinion... the waiter was Courtious however there were a few reasons why he didn't get the tip I would have normally left..and the employee's even down to the owner who were all behind the counter were very not even courteous much less friendly... but again the food was on spot as always

A long wait and not very attentive servers but food is always correct and 100% good quality! Prices are low and the whole family eats for 20-30$
