Chef Rolf's New Florida Kitchen - Seafood restaurant in Osprey - 1660 S Tamiami Trail, USA

Wow! Met my kids from Sarasota for Sunday brunch and everything was awesome! The Swiss Brunch was excellent and I would recommend it for a filling meal. Thanks Chef for an excellent meal and our server was very attentive and personable. I especially appreciate the cloth tablecloths and napkins. We enjoyed the piano music in the background as well. All in all just superb!

Had breakfast at Chef Rolf's and loved every bite. Excellent quality at very reasonable prices. Will be back there soon for dinner...and breakfast (again)!

Our team came down on a training trip and got catered twice a day for 13 days from Chef Rolph! The food was consistent and good. They were able to feed all 60 of us twice a day which was impressive. Definitely a well done establishment and Chef Rolph knows what he's doing.

The Christmas buffet was mediocre at a restaurant that was always rated highly. The lobster bisque was in styrofoam bowls with plastic spoons. Very tacky! Certainly not elegant. At the table the water was served in plastic cups. The buffet had a lot to be desired. All the food seemed a day old. The real clincher was a paper on our table advertising expensive desserts. They could have at least put a tray of Christmas cookies on the buffet. My group was never offered food from the regular menu . Two tables around us ordered from a menu. We will never step foot in this restaurant again.

We made reservations for Christmas dinner. The soup was served in plastic bowls with plastic spoons! The beverages were also served in plastic glasses. Just not you would expect for a Christmas dinner. I believe his waiters were last minute rejects. Supposedly a nice Christmas buffet and only two vegetables green beans and carrots. The ham and turkey were both dried out. I have been to many holiday dinners, but appalled when they brought out a menu for desserts and they were priced extra. This was the third time eating at his restaurant, and the first two were almost as bad. Chef Rolf, you won't be in business long! We eould have been much better at the Chinese restaurant. You have seen my last dollar.

When I tried to make a reservation at your restaurant for the Thanksgiving buffet , the website for the restaurant and open table told me there were no reservations available. This was a month before Thanksgiving. So I called, no one answered and it went to voicemail and said if you need a reservation go to the website. I decided to stop by the restaurant and talk to someone in person. It was there that I found out there were actually hardly any reservations made. The whole day had like 4 actual reservations. I told the host they must have a problem with their website. I told her, you’re not going to have any customers in on that day if your website says they are all taken. She said that would be good for them. Obviously someone booked all the reservations so no one would come. Fast forward to yesterday when we went to the restaurant with our out of state guests, we were seated right away but for 15 minutes and no one came to our table or said a word to us. No one took our drink order or even bothered to say we will be right with you. We decided to leave. When we walked out to the outer area, two waitresses and the hostess were out there talking. Needless to say, we were not happy! We will not be back.

We went at 8:44pm qnd close to closing. They let us order so to make it easy we had Calamari and crab cakes. We also had a free Appetizer of the day. Calamari came out quick with a sweet ti chili sauce, perfect! Crab cakes next. Flavor was great. 2 complaints. I get we ordered close to closing but it didn't have lumps of crab, more like the bottom of the bowl scraps. They were decent sized. However, needed to be cooked just a bit longer. We were not sure what the Appetizer of the day was but she apologized when she bought them out, that they only had enough for 1, the size of a hushpuppy. Loved it just couldn't tell what it was. Would we eat here again...yes.

Wow! Thank you Chef Rolf and your staff for serving an amazing brunch to our party of almost thirty people today. Two favorites were the Authentic Swiss Brunch and Avocados "Lu". Everything was delicious! We are so glad to have discovered you and can't wait to return for dinner.
