The service was good. There was a pleasant guy on the register and two in the back. Food came out pretty quick. The fries were hot. The sandwiches were waterlogged by all the juices but there was a cheesy flavor even though you don't see cheese in the photo. The joint was clean.
Aww man this place really is habit forming! Their King Gilroy is amazing and the added roasted garlic cloves create quite the nice touch. I would definitely eat there again!
My little brother & i thought drinks were included in our order & they didn’t bother on hooking us up. Then I thought the cheese stake fries have cheese & stake on them, then they hooked me up with what I meant to order. They are very good genuine people.
The order taker never smiled or seemed happy to be there. I pick up my food after the girl called my name and I say "thank you", she says, "yeah" ... no smile, looked irritated. However, there was another worker, taller guy, who seemed concerned about cleaning and doing things behind the counter and in the lobby. Maybe he was the manager.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The dining room has pictures of different shops from around the country. The only thing better is the food! It's always fresh, flavorful and never disappoints.
I’ve been eating here since this place opened. The best Philly you’re gonna eat in Chico period. However this place got disgusting. It’s filthy you don’t even want your hands touching the table. The bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. This place is definitely not being managed properly, and I will not be going back.
This place isn't anything to write home about... As a matter of fact, it's not worth the gas for another visit even if it was free. The "large" Philli cheesesteak is enough to feed a small toddler at best, and contained more vegetables than anything else. The taste was bland and subpar in comparison to other cheesesteaks I have had during my many travels. I suspect they are still in business due to not having much of a rival market in Chico... If (4) anorexic cheesesteak sandwiches, (2) orders of portion controlled overcooked curly fries, and a $70 bill is acceptable to new potential customers reading this, don't complain afterward and say I didn't warn you.
Every time I go it's always a consistently good service and amazing sandwich. I have been going for about ten years.
Classic little joint. Good food, good prices, made fresh by the owner. However you like your dog, they'll make it. This is a cozy spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, if only for a minute.
