My bride and I enjoyed our stay immensely. It took a lot to coordinate a wedding and therefore didn’t get to spend as much time as we wanted to at Chateaux as we wanted but the evenings were filled with romance due to the ambiance of the house. Thanks Shane and Samantha for making this our anniversary destination next year
Me and some of my friends had such a wonderful girls trip and were so excited to get to stay in this beautiful location! It was so nice to wake up to stunning views each morning to drink our coffee. We also had a few friends from nature come visit in the mornings. The theater was a great place to relax after some outdoor adventures nearby, and we hope to get to stay here again soon. The chateau was clean, comfortable, and had every amenity you could ever want. It is now one of our favorite places in the area!
Where do we begin….We like to consider ourselves frequent flyer/travelers having been all over the continental US and multiple foreign countries in the last 20 years. Having done so we have stayed in our fair share of hotels, hostels, and bed & breakfasts. We can honestly say Château du Pikes Peak was by far the best B & B we’ve stayed in and it’s not close. Shane and Samantha are very accommodating while offering seriously one of the most picture perfect views of the mountains. The location is not only central to most everything in the region but their setup is literally unheard of in terms of offerings. They offer full use of the lower level with a movie room, private bathroom and full bar area. Super clean, quiet and again, totally private. I wish my vocabulary was a bit wider because I do not feel as if the words I’m using to describe it do it enough justice. Shane and Samantha are super nice, very helpful, easy to talk to and set up a guide to help navigate the area. We loved every minute of it and will definitely stay again! Thank you for your service as well as an amazing experience!
We had an amazing one week getaway at Chateau Du Pikes Peak! Our hosts, Samantha and Shane, were kind, welcoming and accommodating. They are genuinely good people. Their home is located in an upscale community just north of Colorado Springs and is convenient to several good food, shopping and entertainment options. Their guest guide book contains thorough details regarding appliance/TV operation and lists numerous food and activity recommendations, however I suggest doing your due diligence in advance to find the best food/activity options for your personal preferences. The view from the property is fantastic, and there are multiple outdoor seating options to take it all in. We stayed in the Pasteur Suite, which shares the same stunning views as the back yard. The living areas were clean, well-appointed and stocked with all the essentials. On the few occasions we asked for something, it was provided in a timely and gracious manner. The communication between the hosts and us was thorough and easy. Check in and check out were a breeze. We particularly enjoyed the bar area (bring your own alcohol), the dorm sized fridge/freezer, the theater room (currently no DVD player, but lots of Direct TV and streaming channels), and the gas fire pit (weather permitting).||Of course nothing is perfect, so here are some things to be aware of before booking. None of them impacted my rating nor our enjoyment of the property.||As stated clearly on their description, the only access to the rental unit is down the side of the home across a rock stairway/pathway. This can be tricky if you have any kind of mobility issues (natural or induced). The HVAC is controlled from the owners’ residence upstairs, which could be an issue if you need a temperature change when the owners are off-premise or otherwise unavailable. We did not run into any issues in that regard. Because you are in the basement of the owners’ home, you will hear some noise from upstairs and also some plane/train noise from outside. The owners do their best to minimize any disturbance, but it honestly can’t be 100% avoided. Our solution was a small, variable speed fan by the bedside (or bring a sound machine or earplugs if you prefer). If you are shorter in stature, the bathroom counter height in addition to the tall bowl style sinks may be an issue for you. Lastly, they do have a no shoes in carpeted areas policy. They provide disposable slippers, but it is better to just bring your own “inside only” slippers from home if you have them.||As noted, these items are given as helpful and informative observations, not “dings” against the owners or the property.

Beautiful private home in a quiet residential community, but close to everything Colorado Springs has to offer. Hosts are very welcoming and we truly enjoyed our stay.
Shane and Samantha are the most wonderful hospitable hosts! Samantha was so welcoming and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. The Chateau was incredibly beautiful, clean, and had a beautiful view! The movie theatre was such a nice surprise and we wish we had more time there to enjoy it. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back in the future!
Best Host Ever! Samantha greeted us with open arms and it felt like we had known her forever. She gave us the grand tour of the beautiful home we would be staying in while in Colorado for my sons wedding and made us feel at home. Every room is beautifully and meticulously decorated by Shane and Samantha and so comfortable and relaxing. Morning coffee by the fire pit watching the pilots train from the Air Force Academy. I can’t wait to go back and visit with them again. Thanks Shane and Samantha. Come visit SC anytime.
