Exceptional culinary experience at the Chateau 49! The exquisite flavors delighted my taste buds, accompanied by a warm ambiance that made the evening truly memorable. Noteworthy is the swift service and incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Chateau 49 is a corner property with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has both covered and uncovered options. The location is perfect for people watching. The interior is small with. bar area in the front of the restaurant. On the day I visited there was a single server and bartender. However the server was great! The food was fresh and beautifully prepared. I had salmon and the chef accommodated order modifications to account for allergies. The wine was very reasonably priced and they even had happy hour specials on the weekend! The bar area can be a bit boisterous but the meal exceeded my expectations. This is a neighborhood gem!
Outstanding French food and the nicest owners. Great brunch and the escargot is a must try. Highly recommend to anyone who loves high quality, affordable food!

Château 49 is one of my favorite spots. The food and wine are excellent. It’s such a warm and cozy atmosphere. They also have a great happy hour special. Would definitely recommend for after work drinks or a date night!
Chateau 49 is the best wine bar in the neighborhood had a great time eating delicious food and drinking a nice wine the stuff were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked that you have a very modern style. Most importantly, every food and drink in menu tasted great!
Absolutely rude, unacceptable service by the bartender/owner- I ordered a glass of wine which didn’t taste quite right, so asked for a replacement which was refused. Wine wasn’t taken off the bill, even though I sent it back after the first sip. Owner said he had enough customers so didn’t care that we were unhappy. I would leave zero stars if I could. Plenty of nice places in the area, we are locals here, so happy to walk across the street to La cava or Sophie’s wine bar.
Avec ma famille et amies, nous avons choisi le Château 49 à Manhattan pour célébrer le réveillon du Nouvel An. Cet endroit est tout simplement superbe. Dès notre arrivée, l'ambiance chaleureuse et festive était au rdv. Le service était impeccable de la part des gérants, un couple très attentionné qui a bien réussi a ajouté une touche personnelle à notre soirée du nouvel an ! 💑 Les plats servis étaient tout simplement succulents. Rien a dire. Parfait ! Le vin servi était bien choisi tout comme le champagne :) La propriétaire, française elle-même, a réussi à exporter avec brio la gastronomie française à Manhattan. 🍽️🍷Bravo :) La cerise sur le gâteau était la chanteuse de jazz qui animait la soirée. Son répertoire, mêlant des classiques français et américains, a vraiment captivé l'audience. Une ambiance musicale parfaite pour cette soirée ;) 🎤🎶 Nous recommandons le Château 49. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés :) On reviendra :) Excellent restaurant ! 🌟🍾

Very cozy, cute wine bar with multiple locations! Love the $10 happy hour wine till 7pm. The tomato tartine was nice and fresh. Really enjoyed the beef braised stew it was very filling! Nice spot for a quick bite with a friend or date!
Best bartender ever! So knowledgeable and friendly. Allows tastings and makes sure you find your ideal glass of wine. Wine selection isnât huge but itâs eclectic and they will help guide you to your final selection. Cheese board is amazing qualit
Fantastic..from the staff to the food to the atmosphere. Every dish was excellent. Fresh ingredients all seasoned to perfection. First time here but will definitely be back. Make sure to leave room for dessert so worth the calories.
