This park is open everyday. Nice playground, for kids, biking area, jogging, walking,, softball fields, and wide parking lot. Flowing river with mini falls can also be found. The park has a public restroom, but the store is not open due to pandemic It has pumping area for bikes and water for drinking is also there #hannalagud
~8 inches is snow were recently dumped here and created a wonderful opportunity for sledding. The slopes that lead to the baseball field below were a great way to spend a snow day from school! We used a $5 rolled plastic sled from Target that we bought several years ago, and it worked very well. You can't steer very well, but I made do with my feet and hands. Several other parents with their kids had the same idea as we did. Make sure to give each other some space. You can pick up speed going downhill. Got my leg stuck underneath the wire fencing, but was able to get it out without too many scrapes. Afterwards, I used my feet to slow down the approach to avoid further leg-gobbling by the fence. I was worried that my front-when drive compact SUV wouldn't make it back up the icy road, but we managed. I made sure to not lose momentum going up, but also had to be careful of traffic going down. Stay safe and have fun!
We always enjoy walking or biking on the many paths at this park. Areas are clean, family and kid friendly.
Go there probably once a week. Fun little walking path that's about 1 mile long. Dogs are allowed, but the park does not have a waste station, so please bring your own waste bags.
Great place to play, rest and exercise. pet friendly. We loved it.. lots of trails and my paths to take.
We live quite close, and love coming to the park. We can either take a good length walk, or go exploring in the creek. The new playground looks like a lot of fun (my kids are too old for it), and the new trailhead to the Rock Island Trail is great, with a bike repair station and a bottle filling water fountain.
Here's another great place we visited to take a nature walk. It's a very pretty nature trail tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood. The park was full of activities and it was great to see children practicing soft ball and baseball while other children played in the park on very nice updated equipment with a really neat exercise area that was very subtle as not to make it obvious to kids by looking like an exercise area. Off the beaten path lies a beautiful stream way with several small and some not so small waterfalls. The back of the nature area was full of baby trees that had probably been planted last year, but it shows that this pretty little nature trail is looking to make progress and improve on what they have in order to draw people out to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature which is right at some residents back door almost. So again we win! Another walk in the park and another park and trail to add to our list of "let's go there again!"
