We enjoyed a lovely one night stay|at Chardonnay Lodge. Very good value for money, yes dated and a bit basic, but it had everything we needed. The exterior is beautiful and clearly a passion project with lovely gardens to relax in. Staff were very pleasant to chat to also.
I stayed here at the beginning of July. Front desk was so pleasant, location was excellent, and the room was perfect for a solo traveler! I felt safe, and loved the vibe. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area again from New England!
Clean. Safe and friendly. What more do you need from a motel. It is also rather central and well priced.
I see a lot of bad reviews. It’s an old school motor lodge that is family owned. Is it a cookie cutter chain hotel room, no. But it’s well kept, super quiet, and the staff was kind to me. If you require constant pampering and attention, probably not your place. But a place to shower and crash after being out all day, it’s just the spot…
From front to back this has been a terrible experience staying here. We booked rooms here with our friends and a month out from the booking, several of our friends reservations got cancelled for “renovations” leaving them high and dry without a place to stay. Very unprofessional. Trying to get in touch with their customer service is impossible. No one answers the phone and if you do get someone they are no help. We weren’t even sure if our reservation was confirmed until we got there. The worst part of it though was how FILTHY the rooms were. This place felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The bathroom was covered in black mold to the point where I honestly think they could be shut down for health code violations. SO gross!!! We immediately left and looked for a different place to stay. The photos online are old and deceiving. This place is a gross motel, and honestly, even after camping for a week, I would have rather stayed in my car than slept there. CLEAN YOUR BATHROOMS!
No frills but in a good location, the rooms were very spacious and the bed was super comfy. It's all you need as a place to sleep and shower in comfort when you're doing a lot of driving and trips out of town. Not located in downtown Napa but only a 5-minute drive away, and close to Trancas Avenue where the freeway entrance is and there are lots of department stores and supermarkets etc. Perfect as a nice spot if you are going in the car on day trips to wineries and towns in the Napa Valley, however, if I came back to the Napa Valley I would probably opt for somewhere more central like Yountville or St Helena because I ended up driving past both of them to explore the area anyway. I did have trouble with my shower, though I forgot to mention it when I checked out. There were three taps and it was very unclear which was hot and cold, and which one was for the bath and shower. There was no switcher so the water filled in the bath while the shower was running. Not a deal-breaker but just a little bit annoying.
This 50s era moter inn has been jazzed up on the outside, and it’s obvious attempts have been made in the rooms, but there’s still a ways to get to the ‘boutique inn’ quality that they claim. We are always open to value-caliber, locally owned accommodations, but the years of dirty fingerprints on the doors and no smoke detector were no-go’s for us. Seem like nice people!
Good economy stay at Napa. It’s motel style so if you are looking for something like the name brand hitel, this is not the place. It is just a place to sleep since you will be out all day exploring all the wineries and restaurants. The amenities are also a bit old and simple. Friendly staff and they also have tickets to free wine tasting at some local wineries.
Absolutely beautiful. The rooms were gorgeous and remodeled. It was quiet and cozy. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was amazing & we loved the heated floors! The housekeepers tidied for us and did a fantastic job of it. The breakfast was fresh
