Can I give it 10 stars? Would if I could! This park, to me, is the epitome of a moderate physical workout and a peaceful "head" workout. The trail is (approx) 1.8 miles around a center pond. Along the way are strength break signs to prompt the users to pump up their workout with walking lunges, flutter kicks, etc, and an observation deck to view the pond and wildlife. On our last visit we chatted with a deer, watched a blue heron in flight and possibly spotted Hansel & Gretel's cottage ; ) It's truly a gem.

If you like the nature trial with short walking then this is the one. This trail is fully surrounded by trees and little water. There is small natural playground for kids where they can explore some logs and water. The trail is 1.5 mile with a loop. In the trail there is dedicated place for watching birds and other animals. Kids will have lot of fun in this trail.

Great nature park. Nice trail with lots of types of terrain. Great little nature blind. Natural play area for the kids is a bit on the degraded side but still fun. Definitely a hidden gem.

A very scenic and well maintained park. The trails are wide and has enough elevation changes to get a good hike in.

The Preservation Parks are all great. Char-Mar is no exception. Clean restrooms. The hiking trails are usually very peaceful and low-traffic. The blind on the pond is a terrific added bonus; be quiet and enjoy the birds and wildlife. Parking is limited.

This is a great place! The trail is a little short but is beautiful and well maintained. They have good restrooms and a nice nature viewing area. We hopped on the Ohio to Erie trail and took it all the way up the road and then turned around and finished our circle. It made a great 4.2 miles. There are also good hills which we love to get the heart rate up a bit. Check this park out for sure!

We really enjoyed walking out to the blind we stopped by the natural play area. We didn't use the whole loop but what we did was well maintained.

Trails clearly marked with a paved path. Pets are welcome as well. Has a restroom at the trail head and is a easy 1.9 mile trek

One of the best! There's an off-leash dog trail that I think is not paved, but we've only been on the paved trail with leashed dogs. It's nice and clean and even after a heavy rain there aren't puddles to dodge. They take care of this park really wel

What a great find. This park is huge. Lots of stuff for the kiddo to do. My toddler loves it. There are bathrooms here, but a sign that says they close the end of October.

Great play place for kids 10 and under. There are also restrooms with running water, which is a welcome amenity. There are some large trees, but it still gets pretty sunny/warm on summer afternoons. We bring our own folding chairs so we can sit in t

Great place to walk my pup! Along the beach, grassy trails, the dam, rain or shine! They even have a disc frisbee area. It is hard to get pictures of the great blue heron or gulls as they are fast and my mini is on the go tugging at the lead. Good fi

A very nice quiet neighborhood park with plenty of trees, and a creek near by. There's a fun climbing section for preschool ages and older.
