Beautiful beach access. My wife and I are from Pennsylvania. We are staying at the local Hampton Inn. It is super easy to do get a quick rental and pop over here and relax on the beach! It is also a little more quieter than most beaches. It feels more private. We really enjoy this one, it is our go-to!!
First visit to this park. We were looking for basketball hoops and found them we did. Very clean with plenty of parking. A nice park for the kids right next to the basketball courts also. It looked like they have restrooms also. However, we didn't use them. Not sure if they were open or not but nice to have them there. Plenty of field space also if that's what you're looking for.
The closer parking area fills up fast. There is a farther one across the field. Bathrooms near the parking. A 5 min walk across the marsh to Burkes beach.
Beautiful hike out to the beach with a lovely view of a brackish mash in between the pine flatwoods and the dunes before the beach. We were there in December and it was in the mid 50s. The beach was windy. If you dress for the wind it is a lovely walk along the beach and not very busy.
Convenient, free parking to the beach. Multiple pavilions with bench seating. Convenient, clean bathrooms. Video surveillance. Near a very nice housing community. Felt very safe! Biking trails run alongside this park! Soda vending machine available.
We didn't get to experience all of the park but what we did find we loved. Quite an unexpected off shot for us on the bike trail led right to a playground with some basketball courts off to the side. It times out perfectly for us and the playground was big, empty, and loads of fun!
What to say about Chaplin Community Park? Great natural park with beach access, parking, public bathroom, huge lawn to play anything in and showers to rinse off salty water. It's surrounded by big and beautiful homes. Will certainly go back.
We had a decent experience on our first visit. We arrived around 5 pm and had a few options for parking spaces. It did seem a bit on the smaller side of a parking slot but we managed just fine. The reason for the 4 stars is people can be so trashy... Large areas of trash in the bushes when there is a trash can not 10 ft away. The bathroom was very dirty... Didn't feel good to use it, only changed out of swimwear. Will definitely visit again and hopefully it'll be a bit cleaner.

What a hidden gem! I loved all the hiking and mountain biking trails in the park. Most can be navigated by a simple beach cruiser. It's a nice park to visit when you need to get away from the crowds.

Outstanding park. Clean. And easy to get to. Got to see a huge alligator. And use the walk trail that goes all the way around the lake.. the have bathrooms centerly located and there is even an AED there! A lot of parking.
