The room had a great view of the lake and was close to where we wanted to be. We checked in 30 minutes early and they charged us $20 plus tax even though the room was ready.. they also were at our door ready to clean at 9:59 sharp! A guy even jumped onto our balcony as I was tying my shoes so he could leaf blow, what if my wife was getting dressed? no care for people’s privacy.. we had a few minutes before checkout. With how efficient they seem to be with cleaning there were dead bugs all over every light, the air conditioner smells like cat pee. The beds are uncomfortable, the room needs updating, and a deep clean. The view was great. But I’d recommend finding an airbnb
We loved staying at Chanticlear. So convenient. The restaurant was very nice overlooking the inlet between 2 lakes. Dollar Lake was close by with a nice beach & picnic area. Family & pet friendly even though we were there by ourselves.
Just had a week with the family, and it was great. Accommodations were very nice, staff was great. First time staying and would not hesitate to recommend a great "up north feeling." My kids and grandchildren had a wonderful time. Thanks to the staff and owners.
Fantastic food and wonderful wait staff! We had an old fashioned on the patio in a glass. It was closing time so the bartender brought a fresh old fashioned in a plastic cup along with an empty plastic cup for the other one!!! No charge!! Great guy!!🥰
Fabulous accommodations. WOW the bed was like brand new and soooo comfy. Staff is great and always willing to assist. Clean, great prices, definitely recommend.
We loved the fish fry...fair price, and very good fish....we recently went back for Prime Rib, and Chops last Saturday...the Chops were mostly raw, and the prime rib was also under cooked...we will be back for the fish fry, buy never again for the Prime Rib, and Chops
Great place to stay and eat! The new restaurant is fantastic and the beer garden doesn't disappoint(the kids loved the root beer on tap). Staying on property is great. They just added fire pits this summer, which we used every night and really made the experience great. Management is very attentive to any needs or requests. They have a private beach with swimming dock on Dollar lake, and the kids loved it. Docking a boat 50 feet from your cabin is awesome and the access to the chain is a great time every day! We will be returning every summer!
Absolutely wonderful place to stay! We went in the off season for them so there weren’t many people around but the grounds were gorgeous and the staff at the restaurant was very friendly with great food! I’ve always been a bit picky about the cleanliness of rooms when I travel so I am always wary but the Chanticleer cabins were one of the cleanest, most well kept places I’ve ever stayed! We will definitely be making the trip out again!
We spent the week up north in Eagle River and happened upon this delightful restaurant. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Our server helped us review Off The Chain's most popular menu items and suggested their specialty house made cocktails.
