Chang's Mongolian Grill - Mongolian barbecue restaurant in Salem - 3928 Center St NE, USA

This was the first trip here since the pandemic and the food is amazing. I really like all the choices they have for meats, vegetables and oils. The food is always fresh and delicious. It’s also kind of fun watching them cook it while you wait. The only minor issue is it can be a long wait if it’s busy so you could end up waiting in a bit of a line before the cooks get your food to cook. Nevertheless the place never disappoints and you can eat as much as you want but I can never do more than one plate. I highly recommend it.

I used to go to this location with my dad when I was younger, still looks the same. We did have a few issues at first getting our drinks. But otherwise still decent.

Pick your own combination of meats, fish, noodles, veges and sauces then watch the great chefs cook it on a huge round hotplate. Depending on how busy it is you may have to wait, but they go pretty fast. Add your own sauces, peanuts or sesame seeds to finish. A small bowl of soft serve ice cream is served to top it off. Great night.

The food was great the service was lacking. Didn't receive drinks till finished meal. At that time we were offered rice and rice wraps which should have been offered at beginning of meal. In fact just to get our water I went to waiter station an got myself for the table. Was first time there. No one explained what to do. So was a learning experience. Now I know what to expect when/if we go back .

Definitely filling and easy to pick and choose options. Cooked after you get all your fixin'. I enjoy the Plum Sauce to compliment my meal. Add the crepes, rice and soup if you desire. You won't go home hungry. Oh and ice cream with topping for dessert if you want included.

They have a good selection and the vegetables look fresh, the cooks are hard workers. I do have a cleanliness concern tho - they didn't clean the stove a single time we were there, not even with water. They just scrape off the top burnt layer, so a lot of the burnt carcinogenic particles end up on the plate mixed in with the food

They serve the best buffet-style food in town. You choose your ingredients and sauces, and the experienced chefs cook it while you wait n' watch! Galena was the nice lady who brought us our drinks, rice n' wraps, and she was very polite and friendly in providing us with that service. Overall it was a great dining experience!

Omg! Friday was my first time coming here and at first I was a little unsure what I was doing but my waitress so incredibly sweet and helped me get a better second plate of food. I had no idea it was an all you can eat place and that was a nice surprise. The selection of food was so good! I had the lamb and beef and omg the lamb was perfect! I can't wait to bring my son in next week. I really hope the amazing waitress we had on Friday is there because she was literally amazing!
