I went for my father's birthday and got quite a lot of stuff. Overall I would say that the food isn't quite for a Koreans palette as the flavors of the dishes are quite muted compared to the Korean counterpart. This is probably due to catering to a western palette. But that doesn't mean all the food was "bland" -Beef tartare was amazing. The marinade was on point and the bread on the bottom had a great crunch -Fried rice cake was a great take on tteokbokki. I haven't had one where they fry the rice cake and then sauce it. It was great. -The soy glazed potatoes were also very very well made and all the components suited each other. Everything else was quite nice, the only other problem seemed to be that there seemed to be only one waiter? It was quite busy and I felt bad for the guy.

Upscale, lively place with surprisingly more vegetarian options than expected. The food is Korean inspired, and really good. In particular the sujebi stands out, as it uses perilla in just the right amount to give a bitter earthiness to the noodles. The cocktail could have been more flavorful and less sweet.

Visited during restaurant week. The cuisine leans towards modern Korean, and it was decent. I tried the beef sotbap (not shown), which was okay, but the fried rice cakes stood out and were quite enjoyable. The service could use improvement, especially considering the restaurant tends to get busy and on the pricier side.

Very nice food at a reasonable price. We were there twice in a week. First time it was an all 5 star experience - second time not so much. The waiter and the atmosphere made a big difference to the overall experience. The food was good both days though.

I was worried walking into a hotel restaurant. Usually they are sub par and expensive. This place is the exact opposite. The quality of food quality is high and the prices are incredibly reasonable for the area. We got the bulgogi sliders which I will highly recommend. The bone marrow was good too, but in hindsight I would have ordered two orders of the bulgogi sliders. As a main course we ordered the smoked duck Sot Bap. It was really good and filling. I ordered two cocktails, both were really good. I would recommend the one that was a sesame pun. I don't live in Seattle, but I plan on visiting Chan again, next time we visit.

Pretty solid food, nothing mind-blowing but still left me satisfied. On the pricey side but expected from tapas restaurants. Their speciality cocktails were really good though, would recommend giving them a try. I tried the deep fried rice cakes, bulgolgi sliders, soo jae bi, and the cured salmon. I think my favorite thing was probably the cured salmon, it's quite salty as expected of anything cured, but I think it goes so well with the accompanying crème fraîche. The rice cakes were drizzled in this sweet and sour sauce that was a bit too sweet for my liking. I have no complaints about the bulgogi sliders and the soo jae bi.

This is decent for a hotel restaurant, but there are definitely better options for Korean food at this price point. I think the flavors kinda clashed often. The beef tartare had way too much chives. I recommend asking them to not include the chimichurri for the bone marrow. Felt like it ruined the bone marrow for us. The American Wagyu Zabuton tasted just like galbi (galbi glaze overpowered everything else). The smoked duck sot bap was interesting. The truffle took over the overall flavor profile. I mean that helped us get over the excessive scallions, but we can’t taste the duck like this either. A lot of rice though so it’s more than enough for 2 people. This isn’t it if you’re looking for traditional Korean food. Chan Seattle is advertised as contemporary. I don’t think they hit the mark just yet but would like to revisit this place in the future.

Chan Seattle blew us away. We loved the Korean inspired dishes and our server was phenomenal. We tried the steak tartare, Dwenjang ramen, and Sot Bap with Alaskan King Salmon. Each were delicious. We couldn't believe our luck when our server brought us a free dish from the kitchen, Alaskan Black Cod, which actually ended up being our favorite dish of the night. We finished off with the Caramel Creme dessert. Thank you again to our lovely server! We have not had such a wonderful service experience in a long time!
