Food was good. In picture you will see the fried pickles come in spears we loved them. It was a lot of fish with thin layer of bread awesome!! Tartar sauce was a little too much mayo for me but ya know can’t please everyone lol. Chicken was thin bread and big chunks of meat so yummy. Must have Mac n cheese. Shelby was our waitress leave her a good tip she was so friendly. 😊
Champys is a must try if you haven't already! We've been to multiple locations and have had a good experience every time! This visit was no different. We had the 2 Piece Dark Meat Plate with Baked Beans and Potato Salad. All of which were very good. We also tried the Champy's Famous Catfish Platter with Fries and Cole Slaw. This one surprised us! The fish was cut thin and cooked perfectly crispy. We'd definitely get this again! We'll definitely be coming back!
A great Southern chicken restaurant. Lots of influences: Mexican, African, Cajun, Mississippi delta... good food for a reasonable price. Ambiance is great and unique, lots of signed dollar bills on the wall. Also shout-out to the pane of shame in the men's bathroom which is a funny way to address a very serious issue regarding harassment in restaurants. Hopefully it made one or two creeps think twice before leaving a weird note to a waitress.
Great fried chicken. Fried pickles were wonderful. Service was excellent. The noise was a little loud. You definitely can not complain that the chicken was not hot. The salads were huge.
AMAZING fried chicken! We usually get the 16 or 20 piece family deal that comes with four sides (large sides). The atmosphere is fun with a greasy spoon vibe. A must visit spot in Chattanooga 👌
Incredible tasty meals! The whole atmosphere of the place is awesome full of one dollar bills, vintage items, Blues memorabilia. The service was A+++!!! But the real reason to go to this place is their dishes! We tried fried chicken liver and they were pit of this world! Mac and cheese was the best I've ever had without a doubt. The crispiness of the fried chicken, and how juicy the chicken was made this really tasty! The sausage and chicken gumbo was full of flavors. I highly recommend this place!
Love this place. The staff was so kind and knowledgeable. Chicken is amazing, you can’t go wrong. Atmosphere was eclectic and relaxed. We had a great time and will be back.
I took my 2 daughters late one evening a few nights ago while on a trip, and the food and service were great! The fried fish was by far our favorite. The potato salad had a strange soapy taste, but they allowed us to exchange it for mashed potatoes which were decent. The fried chicken salad was huge with tons of toppings. The fried dark meat chicken was also good. We would definitely go back if we are in the area again!
