Chambers Bay Golf Course - Public golf course in University Place - 6320 Grandview Dr W, USA

My favorite course in the PNW with a focus only on golf. Course drains well so can be played year around and is my go to place for the winter, along with Home Course and Aldarra (private). No trees or water in play and walking only. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea being built on a side of a hill, but the bump and run play is unique with putter that can be used around the greens and fairway. If this was closer to Seattle it would be super busy. The golf staff is great - the food is pretty good also. The membership is a great deal although during the summer months, the greens fees are super high.

Massive golf course with majestic views and a championship history. Little pricey to play it on the regular but worth the splurge 2x yearly. Walking only at Chambers and I believe it adds to the experience. Also, you can request a caddie for the ultimate playing experience. Strongly recommend advanced tee times for this US Open course.

A beautiful place. You can see the ocean, the rolling hills, and the train under the bridge. Very relaxing place if you want to bring food and sit to watch the sun set. Nice dog park, baseball field and golf course. Not crowded and parking was plentiful.

Magnificent golf course in a beautiful property overlooking the bay and Olympic National Park mountains. Very fun to play, fair amount of forgiveness off most tees. Ball really rolled the day I played but this was after a dry spell. Last 6-7 holes are truly incredible, also 8/9/10 is a great stretch. Practice area very good. Intense 18 walk but you gain the blessing of experiencing the whole property.

Absolutely stunning piece of property. The views along make this a must-play course. Playing in the early morning, with the sunrise over the dunes and bay were inspiring. The staff, from check-in to departure were very welcoming and professional. I loved the walking only nature of the course and enjoyed the challenging hike around the property. Having a local caddie made the round even more enjoyable and gave you the "US Open" experience. Now, as the actual golf: the course is ok. The green complexes are huge and the pin location on #12 (as most of the back 9) when we played was dastardly. Overall, the course is a fairly standard track. But you come for the views and experience, and you'll get it here.

My wife and I love the beach at Chambers Bay golf course it's amazing beautiful. And a great great place for your rockhounds out there you find some of the most beautiful stuff we have found actually out there I will and my wife will be going out here for a very long time to come.

Pros: - Friendly and helpful staff. Very welcoming atmosphere. - Golf course is unique and in great playing condition. - Course Marshalls roaming the course were helpful and kept up the pace of play. Cons: - The greens feel like you’re putting on broccoli. They were punched few weeks prior to our arrival but they were exceptionally ‘broccoli’ like.

One of the best golf venues in America. Incredible property, views, and plenty to do for the whole family. An incredible layout from Robert Trent Jones II. Great food, awesome staff, the best sunset views around on a layout like you’ve never seen. You really can’t pass up the opportunity to play here. Must visit!
