Excellent battlefield, cemetery and monument. Plan to soend at least an hour here to go through the visitors center, a quick walk of the grounds and cemetery. You COULD spend a lot longer if history is your thang. It is all very interesting. Well laid out and thought provoking. The place is well maintained all things considered but definitely worth a visit. It costs nothing to go (though you should make a donation!) The actual monument is at the furthest end of the cemetery. Enjoy!
Great place to visit on a weekday. The staff was helpful and friendly. The battlefield and cemetery are well maintained. The cemetery is quiet and moving with the weight of history.
This area really brings you back to the civil war era. I visited the park as part of a steamboat ferry tour. The park staff and volunteers were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I enjoyed walking around the battlefield and the old mansion. Definitely worth adding to your day if your looking for some history and outdoors.
Unfortunately, there was the threat of a storm just before we came, so the park services decided to shut down for 3 days and nothing was open. It turned out to be a nice, though humid, day! We were still able to walk around and read the plaques and learn about the grounds.
Very clean and nice battlefield enjoyed our time there too bad I do not have my car with me to drive around.... We travel by river cruise and had a good time
If you appreciate history, this is a great place! The museum is very informative! The grounds are great! Great place especially for a beautiful fall day!
The Museum and giftshop is back open after covid! The tower is still closed, but they are working on reopening it. Nice, quiet and somber. Well maintained National Park. The tour of the grounds and museum will take about an hour. Longer if you walk the national cemetery and listen to the audio tour of it.
It was a great experience visiting the national park and learning about some history of New Orleans. You can walk or drive while touring the area. And admission to park visitors is free! Went up the monument and the stairs are alot. I broke a sweat😅

Nice local spot that's very clean and friendly. Nice married couple open this hidden gem . Had the pleasure to chat with the two few days ago while waiting on my order. The food is made fresh and has that home cook meal type of feeling. My family
I've been a member at Bravata for some time. Due to my schedule, I choose to work out very early in the morning so I rarely see any staff (which is okay), but this is what works for me. I'm happy to have a 24 hr facility very near my home. This is
Rocky and Carloâs is a family restaurant with great service that actually care about their customers and amazing tasting food that your mother might have made if your mother was an excellent cook. I loved this place.
Try the veal itâs amazing.
Absolutely beautiful Park. Lots of gazebos and personal space areas surrounding a duck pond. There is a skate park that appears to be pretty well kept up, and the people there seem to be nice. Very quiet and not full of a bunch of undesirables... Esp
The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The staff is extremely friendly. When you walk in you go to the counter to grab a menu and order what you like, pay and grab a seat. I had the Aquarius burger (no bacon) with an Iced latte. (It was my brunch,
I enjoyed my stayed here! From the moment I walked in, Trina was so welcoming! Check in was quick and easy, she also gave some recommendations on where to run and grab some food.
