Chalet On the Lake - Resort hotel in Stevensville - 5340 Notre Dame Ave, USA

Because of Lake Michigan the location was beautiful. The property itself was cute, with lots of nice family stuff (beach, pools, playground, volleyball). But that's the end of whats good about this place. We booked through Vrbo (big mistake!) Our Chalet was overpriced, and outdated. We were charged a ridiculous cleaning fee, yet the kitchen was dirty when we arrived. Everything needs updating! On our last day we were locked out of our Chalet for over 4 hours, due to a faulty sliding door lock, and were offered almost no assistance. They called a locksmith, which never arrived, and eventually broke a window. Meanwhile my children were wet, cold, hungry, thirsty, and needed to use the restroom. We asked for a refund for that night and were denied. Asked Vrbo to help us and were denied. So our one vacation we get to take a year was not great! Please look elsewhere, there are plenty of beautiful places around Lake Michigan!

Beautiful property with brand new pools, beach access. Our family enjoyed it all very much and we’d love to come back. Only “flaw” was a squishy twin mattress (that was put with another twin to make a king bed), we prefer firmer. We utilized the extra bunk beds to accommodate and it was just fine

Love the Chalets! Great location, great pool and great accommodations. This is our second year and it’s even better than the first. Lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy and many surrounding places for a day trip!

We rented a chalet through VRBO. Chalets can be rented through different people/places so not all chalets offers the same amenities. Our rental was great. We had several beach items, kitchen utensils, linens and towels were all provided. Cute, small beach and playground. The pool was small but nice. There is a second pool that wasn't open. Steep stairs lead to the upstairs bedrooms which were concerning for the small children we had. 10 minute drive to silver beach and "town" such was a very nice spot as well.

Pros : very nice location, 2 clean well maintained pools, access to a small parcel of beach, playground Cons : mixed feelings about the chalet itself, feels old though supposedly recently renovated, kitchen supplies pots, pens, dishes, etc. not clean. Rooms horrible. Don't count on the broken and unguarded bunk beds. We had to stay 3 in the uncomfortable double bed because we could not use the bunk beds. Very noisy AC. Basically 3 sleepless nights

I find the pictures were misleading. From the photos, it looked as if we were going to get one of the chalets with a lake view; however, that was definitely not the case. I would try to figure out exactly were your cabin is before booking with these guys. Beach was super rocky as well. AC barely worked.

Great place to rent for beautiful Lake Michigan views. Quaint Cottages manages the place and they are very responsive to our needs. We recently rented a chalet and I emailed Quaint Cottages with some issues. Charles came out the very next day to address our concerns. He was exceptional accommodating and personable. The sunsets over Lake Michigan are worth the trip. The Chalets are clean and comfortable. We are having a very enjoyable trip.

The whole property is very well taken care of and there was always something to do for my family especially with the kids. We enjoyed going to the beach, pool, playground and tennis court each day! We stayed at Chalet 76 and it is nicer than most we have stayed in, definitely worth it. We loved spending time in the 3 seasons type porch. The beach is still there with enough space to play in the sand and play in the water.
