OMG DISSAPOINTED!!!!! Disappointed that It took me this long to try their food. It's incredibly delicious. THE BEST Mexican food I've ever tasted so far. If you are in the Capitol Reef area, you have got to come to this place. Great food, their drinks are amazing too. we tried the Pina Colada and it's so rich and tasty. the Shrimp cocktail is to die for. the fajitas and fish tacos!!!! yes !!!! whaaaaaat ??? I can't believe what I just ate. Please do me a favor and come try this place. you won't be disappointed. service is friendly and top notch as well.
This restaurant blew me away! Great all around. Cool atmosphere (though not huge), quick service, and my California style dried burrito was nothing short of phenomenal. I want to eat more of them but I’m stuffed. They also dress up their plates very professionally. I’m not from around here but if I am again, I’ll definitely be returning here.
It was very full when we arrived, but we were able to get a table right away. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait for our food, but it came about 5-10 minutes after we ordered, and it was absolutely delicious! The chips and salsa at the beginning are great - the salsa was so fresh and delicious. The fajitas were piping hot and seasoned perfectly. The servers were all very friendly and it was a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our family debated whether this was a 3 or 4 star restaurant. Torrey is an amazing little place with some really impressive restaurant options. I had great hopes that Chak Balam would be among them especially seeing the 4.7 star rating it has had. Sadly, it disappoints on most fronts. The mole enchiladas (enmoladas) and the green sauce enchiladas were below average. Stick with the red enchiladas which tasted much better. The shrimp tacos were good and the flautas were okay. The chips and salsa to start aren’t gray and the Diet Coke from the foundation was watered down and had little carbonation. In truth, if you’re in Torrey for a short period of time, do yourself a favor and hit Capitol Burger twice.
Ok yum!! This place was so delicious and the server was super friendly. She helped me choose out of the many options and gave good recommendations. The salad bowl was large and fresh. The enchiladas were covered in a crisp cheese - they were so good! There was also fun music and lights. Definitely recommend for those in the area.
Great spot in the small town of Torrey, UT! Thought all the portions were large, and the food was delicious! We got the California dry burrito, Mexican salad, and a fajita mixta. The deep fried ice cream for dessert was also good!
This was a surprising find! After a long day, we found this place with an unassuming exterior. The food was excellent! We had some of the best veggie tacos that we have had! The chilli relleno was also good. I really enjoyed the horchata!
I loved how the lights changed colors at night! Such a fun little place to stop for dinner on our way through. The food was amazing and the staff was so friendly to us! Couldn’t recommend a better place to stop!
