Chaffee Lodge - Motel in Chaffee - 13550 W Schutt Rd, USA

I stayed here for 3 Days the first day I came it caught me off guard by the look even though the room was clean. Just to far out to drive so I cancelled an came back . Because the drive was worth it due to cleaning plus space it was quite. The main thing that got me was the man that checked me in told the owner my 17 yr son with his 12yr brother traveling with family had a gun. The man working front desk had straight lied on my son bout the gun plus said that he was aggressive had a attitude he was starting problems which was a lie because my son has disabilities you just can't tell until you actually talk to him But the man that I spoke with previously on the phone was very nice an professional even cut me a deal. Then let me rebooked after these allegations because I said ohh not my child. Then on top of that they tried to say my reservation was not valid after I spoke with the man on property he asked me was I going to stay over I said yes and then the next day I was getting phone calls and voicemails saying that I have to check out ,my room was already booked and there was nothing that they can do about it. The owner changed up on the phone an started being very rude ,not professional and argumentative just not nice. He vouched for his employee which I knew he would saying he worked here for 10 years he would never lie but he already lied on a my teenage son but other than that the room was very clean very spacious.

Pros:- - Comfortable, - nice rooms - owner/front desk is very friendly. - 24/7 coffee machine. - closer to Burger King or gas stations. - no smell or no noise from neighbors. Cons:- - breakfast is not available. Overall, nice hotel to stay for a weekend if you're visiting places nearby.

We were just in town for a week and didn’t go back even though it was good. Because I ordered a 1st floor room and they garented it but when we got there. Nope only 2nd floor. Lost my business great value

Our recent stay at Chaffee Lodge left us with a mix of impressions. While we appreciated the owner's warm welcome and felt secure throughout our time there, there are significant areas that need improvement. Firstly, the cleanliness of the room was a concern. Cobwebs and hairs in the bathroom corners and the subpar condition of the towels did not align with our expectations. Our sense was that the bathroom had t been cleaned for us. The bedsheets' worn and mismatched condition, with visible holes exposing the mattress and a lack of fresh scent, was less than satisfactory as well. Additionally, the pervasive odor of old smoke (despite it being a non smoking lodge now) detracted from the overall comfort of the place, despite our attempts to air out the room. Mismatched furniture and the presence of spiders did not contribute to a pleasant environment. It's worth noting that the price for a weekend night was rather high. Considering this, we had hoped for a cleaner and more inviting atmosphere. We acknowledge the owner's friendliness, and we encourage an earnest effort to enhance the lodge's overall quality. Addressing these concerns would undoubtedly create a more positive experience for future guests.

Absolutely love it, it’s such a cute and quaint hotel!! The owner is so kind and helpful, the rooms are cozy and comfortable, and there are no bugs or anything that would make the room “gross”. I could smell the detergent on the sheets so I know that they’re cleaned after use, and the owner even recommended us a place to have breakfast in the morning. Perfect stop for a great price. Stayed at a 4 star hotel and their beds weren’t nearly as comfortable as Chaffee’s🫶🫶

I was kind of apprehensive about this place, but honestly, I so glad u chose to stay here. I stayed two nights and it was the first time I booked a hotel and took a trip with just me and a friend. No parents or anyone. But this was a fantastic first experience. The host was extremely kind and friendly and knew a lot about what to do and places to eat in the area. And although the hallways smelled a bit like smoke and it was a little rough around the edges, the room and very nice and clean, the bedding was soft and comfy, and I would for sure return if I'm ever back in the area.

The furniture is broken, the bed is dirty black, it stinks of cigarettes day and night, the windows don’t open. The room is dark and dirty

We stayed here overnight and I’m traumatized.. The sheets were not changed after the previous stays and there were bodily fluid stains on the pillows.. Little hairs on the bathroom floors and dried up pee on the toilet. The AC was filthy and would blow out infested dusty air. Would not recommend at all. Also the towels were not clean either. The owners were kind but I would not come here again strictly due to the unsanitary conditions
