Staff is top notch! Friendly, courteous and helpful. If you are looking for a 5 star it's not the place for you. If you are looking for economical room, offering a family oriented staff, A short walk 2.5 blocks to the beach and boardwalk this is for you. If you want to utilize the kitchen take your own pots and pans and paper plates. It's definitely worth it. maintenance and housekeeping are always busy. As for the negative reviews? Many times if you are a constant complainer or expect perfection but aren't willing to pay for it nor willing to be courteous? You get what you give in the world.

This place is worse than awful! My families VERY first trip to the beach is being cut short because of the state of this hotel room. The smell of mold and cigarettes, the dinge dirty walls and furniture, not to mention that most of the furniture looks like somthing you would find in the trash it was falling apart. The shower is leaking, the ceiling is falling down, the room shakes and feels as if you will fall through the floor, the outlets are very questionable. We where told that we had an additional bed that wasn't in the room and that the room was handicapped accessible and none of that was true. They couldn't even give us towels or a bar of soap to wash your hands. We reserved the room for 2 nights but got sick from trying to stick it out the first night. If it wasn't for the fact that it took us 8 hours to drive there, we would not have even tried the first night. We ended up leaving the next day. It was a complete waste of my money. THEY SHOULD FEEL ASHAMED OF THE LIES. It should be shut down do to health codes.

The room was very outdated. The toilet constantly ran and made a squealing sound. I called the front desk for toilet paper and towels they said they'd bring t right up but never did I had to get it myself off housekeeping cart. People live at this hotel so expect it to be loud and annoying place to stay. I paid $1200 to stay here for 4days in a suite and there was nothing good to say about it. Elevator was old and very slow. Tub was dirty. Floors were dirty. Stains on the furniture. I will never stay here again and wish I could get at least 50% of my money returned 😒

Positive: The room was huge, had a stovetop, and felt like a good "If I had to live here for a small amount of time" type place. The front desk was really nice and the location is perfect for walking to the nearby nightlife, beach, and club scene. Negative: I will say that the internet basically doesn't work (or to better say the wifi) but it didn't bother us as much because the cable was fine and the day was spent mostly at the beach and clubs. The front desk did warn us it was dodgy.

Look, if you are into broken and stained chairs, blood and mold on the mattresses, holes in the floor, wet moldy carpets, countertop busted with fullblown holes smashed into them, stovetops with aluminum foil inside them, plastic grocery bags on the sink pipes, couches with questionable stains, musty smells, dried blood stains, no access to wifi or cable tv, and lack of anyone who actually cares... then this hotel is the one for you. ||Look dude- to sum it up, the staff covered all the chairs and couches with TOWELS to hide the stains and torn up out-dated furniture. ||First and foremost- the staff wasn't helpful and blamed everything on either housekeeping or maintenance. The guy at the front desk was about as helpful as a wet paper bag when I reported the issues and demanded something be done about the issues. ||My boyfriends family paid for 4 nights for their vacation from GA and didn't stay more than an hour at this cruddy shoddy hotel. I wouldn't recommend this place to a homeless man needing a roof for a night. This place was gross to say the least. ||The shower was literally painted brown with a roller brush. It was just gross, nasty, and unbelievable that it passed ANY kind of inspection. The health department and fire department need to take a deep look into this place. There's no way this place is real...

Stayed at this motel last week.. It was great..close to beach, front desk and maids very helpful and friendly.. room was clean stayed here many many times never seen a bug one, Clean, comfortable very spacious stayed at many places on the ocean front until i found this hotel,which was by accident, ocean front was booked..and they had a room. But best thing thàt ever happened because only place I stay now.. and I'm one picky person.. was worried but happy now. Love it there going back in May can't wait...thanks Cerca Del Mar hotel for many great stays ❤️

Stayed the weekend place smelled like mildew we had to stay no where eles had rooms. Place had stove but no pans and plates had to buy and no coffee pot. If I where u go somewhere eles we had to slum it and beds sucked to.

Awesome place. Old place but so comfortable my family loves it. I recommend it. The pay is enough. The person on the front desk is so kind. I will be back.
