Love this trail, just wish the paved section was a little longer. It is nice to be able to continue on the dirt trail that follows the east fork river.
I have trailered my horses lots of places from Murfreesboro, but I don't know why I've never been here! What a gem. Nice trails along the river. There was a good mix of scenery and there are some banks to climb down so you can get the horses in the water.
Now, this is a one-way trail. You can go all the way from this trailhead to the East Fork Recreation area.
So you'll have to park vehicles on both sides of the trails or come back the way you came.
There is a porta-potty and some picnic tables. Even a charcoal grill. Huge gravel parking area for trailers. Awesome place.
Nice quiet area with trail completely paved. There were several sharp up hills on the walk with the end of the trail at a dam. The path is shady most of the way and well worth the time and effort to walk there.
This is a great walking or running trail with several steep inclines. The trail leads to the Walter Hill Dam.
It was always a great walking path option! But it's even better now with the extension! For those seeking a shaded trail to exercise on, this is it!
Great place to go for a hike! It's along the Stones River and there are lots of beautiful trees along the paved walkway. There's also a frisbee golf course and a horse trail.
Disc golf course is mainly open with a couple wooded holes. The open holes still can have some tight windows through trees. Good amount of elevation changes and a little bit of a longer course. My weaker arm had no chance for any aces except for one hole.
Its still new. I can only review the disc golf course.
For the most part, its mowed fairways and greens with knee to waist high rough and sometimes trees to shape the holes.
The tees are noted by a temporary stake and landscape flags.
The first few holes have Next Tee signs with arrows.
A mix of long and short holes bending both left and right. Some straight tunnels.
In all, its going to be a very nice place to play once the tees are installed.
Also, the baskets are top notch. I dont remember the models but top quality.

We went for the open gym with 4 kids 11-14. They loved it. Staff was friendly, there was plenty of room, and the obstacles were a good skill level for kids and adults. We drove an hour to get there and it was worth it.
