Center Street Coffee - Cafe in Folly Beach - 18 Center St, USA

It's rare I put up a negative review, but you got one. First issue is $31 for two croissants and Cappy's. To their defense the prices were posted, but I didn't check. These are NYC prices. The croissants could have been yesterday's, but I can't be certain. They were a little hard. No for the big rub. After sitting outside and having our stuff I had to use the bathroom. The lady just came out of said bathroom as I came back into the shop. She said, "sorry, it's employees only". I said, "we just spent $31 and can't use the bathroom "? "No, that's the policy". That right gets you the bad review. Sometimes you just have to be nice Now that said, kudos for having pictures of all the kidnapped Israeli hostages on the outside of the building.

The coffee was pretty good! The muffins were good though a bit dry. The wait was reasonable considering there was only one person running everything. Overall worth the stop!

I ordered a chocolate croissant, it was huge but not very much. We got also a danish, it was okay. all in all the coffee and pastries were average but great location and I loved their outdoor seating.

The mini quiche! Yes! We ordered a mocha caramel cappuccino. Love it. Yummy. Our furry friend was allowed in while we placed our order and served a pup cup.

We stopped in to get two cappuccinos and a cream cheese croissant. It was later in the day so there was really no wait. My husband went to take a drink of the cappuccino and literally burnt his tongue to the point where it immediately blistered. I know cappuccinos are very hot (we drink them everyday) but this one was probably the hottest liquid I've ever put near my mouth. So with that being said be mindful when you take a drink so you don't burn yourself like he did. Unfortunately he threw his out after that he didn't want anything to do with it, I tried to sip on mine but it was still too hot so we walked to the pier. By the time we got to the end of the pier I was able to drink my cappuccino without it burning the skin off the back of my throat. The cream cheese croissant was very good she warmed it up for us. I did an edit on my first review because I went back in today and got an iced hora latta similar to a horchata. Tasted NOTHING like it. I literally threw it in the trash by circle K. I got a blueberry cream cheese croissant to go. I got home to heat it up and it was smashed like a pancake tasted 5 days old and had ZERO cream cheese. So disappointing.

The line loops around from the inside of the store to the outside during peak hours. Their coffee is delicious with huge pastries available. I loved their decoration and informative menu of how each coffee ratio applies for the drinks.

Small but mighty! The frappe and the cookies were incredible. Service was quick and the barista was friendly. The shop itself is small with plenty of outside seating. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Cute shop with really good coffee! Pastries are fresh and really good portions. You will not regret visiting this shop if you’re looking for a little coffee pick me up or a quick bite before visiting the beach! 10/10 recommend!
