CEFCO Travel Center - Truck stop in Gilmer - 1011 US Hwy 271 S, USA

Lots of variety of hot Food to choose from. Clean store. Ample parking for big trucks. Stop and go. Friendly staff. No complaints here. Love the sweet bread.

Seedy gas station. Attendants are rude, the whole place is creepy, dirty, not well-maintained. Many of the customers are up to no good. I'm a big guy, but I do not feel safe here. I only stop here if I am almost out of Gas and the Brookshire's is too far out of my way. Still I lock my doors and keep one hand on my firearm just in case. One of the next stops, I expect my windows to get busted out for the $0.08 in change on the console.

The staff at this facility was very very friendly - even during a very busy time where many could be rude- on Christmas Eve. I am very appreciative of the positive attitudes and the well staffed store.

These guys have really good hot dogs for $2 but beware, today I got one that was supposed to be a normal hot dog but it was stuffed with jalapenos. It was so hot that I couldn't eat it and so I threw it away and my $2 was basically wasted.

Today is Saturday, September 16, 2023. It is 11:30 PM. I went into CEFCO in Gilmore Texas and two girls behind the counter. I grab me some of them small peanuts honey cashews, and the sign says on all of them $.69 each. I Purchase those peanuts all the time so I know the price the girl trying to charge me $1.79 per package. I told her no that’s not correct she said well I can’t change this on my register. She’s a liar she can print out the receipt by canceling and writing what the reason was, I was a cashier in a convenient store I know; I think that they’re pocketing money and splitting it between themselves. Something fishy is going on in there.

The store is always clean as are the bathrooms. They have a good selection of sandwiches, hot dogs, and other items for a quick lunch or snack.

They are always nice here and have plenty in stock of the items we all need. The bathroom was a little messy but is usually well kept

I don't shop there are do business .I needed to get gas and all I had was 100 dollar bill and the cashier was very rude and would not take my 100.and told me to go somewhere else.to this day I haven't put my foot in that place.
