My friend and I needed a place to stay in Ashland for a book signing event I had this summer. Wow, we were blown away with the incredible kindness and service given by the manager, Didar. The entire staff was genuine, efficient, kind and professional. Our room was beyond what we expected: spacious, immaculately clean, and comfortable. A large refrigerator for our road trip cooler contents, a big table to write and even enough room for two yoga mats to practice our morning rituals. I can't say enough positive things about our stay. I look forward to the next time when I bring my family.

5-star VALUE! This place is a secret gem on the south end of town. Family-owned, it is diligently cleaned and maintained. The updates to the property from several years ago when we last stayed here are notable: remodeled bathrooms, landscaped front yard with designated smoking and pet areas. Updated outdoor and indoor pools as well as saunas. We have SO enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend. We will be back! :)

Solid budget hotel in Ashland. Customer service: Fantastic - the staff is genuine, friendly, and highly attentive. I had a problem with my room (it was an ex-smoker room, and still smelled, despite being remodeled), and they immediately moved me. Rooms: are fine. They've been remodeled and they're good in a "solid work, but there are cables hanging off the walls" sort of way. It's consistent with other older motels that have had work done. The bed was really nice, though. Air conditioner wasn't too loud, and was consistent enough that I could use it as white noise if I wanted to. (I turned it off at night though, and didn't overheat.) Bathroom: clean and spacious (for the size) - I found the shower to be roomy, although not having anyplace to put the shampoo or soap (except for the floor)" was a bit of a hassle. Toilet was a bit wobbly. Provided toiletries were nice. Location: 2 miles down the road from downtown Ashland and the OSF. Took me ~7 minutes to drive there. Which I found to be acceptable. There's also a Safeway just down the road, which was convienent. ~5 minutes from the freeway as well.

This place is run by a sweet, hardworking, extended family. Our 1st room was noisy and had some issues. I mentioned them to the front desk, and they went out of their way to correct them promptly and move us to another room. They're clearly working to upgrade the property. The beds in the 2nd room are new, it's bright and airy, and there's a little kitchenette w a sink. The amenities of the pool, hot tub pool, sauna, and steam room are a luxury touch. The landscaping and courtyard are pretty, and there's a bbq area. Breakfast is your usual hotel fair, nothing exciting but well maintained and a solid breakfast experience. Overall, it is a pleasant place that serves well as temporary HQ as we travel.

This was my first stay here, the second for my traveling partner. The hotel is undergoing a pretty big transformation. The owners have been updating the property over the last year and it is looking very nice. I came to Ashland with my friend. My adult daughter and my friend’s adult daughter stayed together in my room and I stayed in my friend’s room with her. The good: The location is spectacular. The pool was great, the indoor pool was therapeutic. The sauna and steam rooms were great as well, with a caveat. Breakfast was available every day and was homey. The purveyor and his family are running the hotel and they are all very nice, honorable, and hardworking people. The A/C works great, the parking is adequate. The bizarre: Tried watching TV but I guess the TV remote signal was the same as someone else’s because my channels would just start changing, so I’d change it back, and that in itself was kind of entertaining – but when they turned their TV off, so did mine, so I turned mine back on. LOL. The TV is not hooked up to WiFi, so I couldn’t watch Netflix or stream to the TV. Not a big deal but worth pointing out. More bizarre: The hotel is very gracious and has opened the rooms for those who are down on their luck or without a place to lay their heads. For the most part, these guests were super and no one would have known otherwise. But there are tweakers. Stay clear of the tweakers. The weird: Like I said, some things are bandaids. For instance, in my friend’s room, there were two sinks in the bath area, but the faucets were different on each. Or in the shower, it’s a sink faucet instead of a shower faucet. The light in the kitchenette was not as expected, the fridge does not fit its space, is not level and was super dirty around the fridge. The balcony was recently re-carpeted but is leaning a bit off the building. The yuck: New toilet in the room, but the toilet seat wasn’t. Brand new bathtub, but it already had scars on it from someone leaving something hot on the edge of the bathtub by someone sitting on the toilet (perhaps from paraphernalia). Floors seemed clean, but after wearing socks it showed they were not as clean as they appeared. The sauna and steam room should be cleaned more frequently. There was a dusty glaze in the steam room that turned into dirty drops of water. I wiped it down but made me wonder whether it is being sanitized daily. The room where our daughters stayed smelled smoky when we first checked in. I just assumed it was old smoke that had permeated the walls – I know how hard it is to get the stench out, so I just let it go. I did not realize what was happening until we went to retrieve the girls when we checked out – but there was active marijuana smoke filtering into their room from what I am assuming was either the room next to her or the room behind her. IT STUNK. I wrongly accused them of smoking marijuana in the room – they don’t even partake so they were really upset I would accuse them. I did not mention it to the purveyor since we were literally packed up and driving away. They need to better enforce the no smoking policy. Overall, it served its purpose. Would I stay there again? Not likely but you never know.

This hotel isn’t a friendly nor welcoming hotel. When we arrived on Wednesday, we arrived after hours, and the staff was scared to speak to us at the door. I was booked here by my casting company for a 3 day stay for a recording session. Tonight, day before check out, my band director went to the office to get late check out and he gained an ear full of complaints on me. For one, this is a predominantly white area, and I’m a black woman, who hasn’t seen any other black people in sight. The complaints were I’m singing in my room, and smoking marijuana in my room. LOL. Haven’t smoked any marijuana in my room, but there’s plenty of people who are around the whole place, and I’m a singer, so I rehearse. I’ve attended several hotels and rehearsed in them, under my casting company and never had such complaints until Ashland Oregon. First time here. The rooms are extremely old, and there’s a door divider from the other room next to you, and I can hear everything in the other room. Dogs barking non stop, loud arguing, kids yelling, loud TVs, and more. I wear ear phones so I can’t hear those things. The walls are extremely thin. This is a racially bias location. Also a unhoused homeless apartment complex to be 💯 with you. I’d never stay here again, and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I haven’t even been here often through out my stay, and these humans found something to complain about. Myself and Staff were caught off guard. Racism thrives. Patio door never has been able to open, and the TV channels change on their own without you doing anything. Glad I’ll be leaving tomorrow .

I will return to this hotel whenever possible! Room was large and bed was extremely comfortable. Layout of hotel and location means very little noise. Breakfast area was perfect. Impressive hidden gem!
