Cbowls poke - Japanese restaurant in Farmers Branch - 13701 Midway Rd #105, USA

I wasn't sure about this place and wasn't too impressed with the way my food looked but it was all so good. They give ypu a nice healthy portion and it wasnt too pricy. They have Poke bowls, Sushi, and Ramen. Tried them all and they were all very solid, much cheaper than going to a Japanese or Korean restaurant for these meals. The sushi was slightly better than any, HEB style sushi. Spicy Salmon bowl looked colorful but not impressive, they don't offer sauces like most Poke places but surprisingly it tasted nice and fresh. I felt satisfied yet not feeling heavy. The Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen, was flavorful and pretty good, the charsu pork was super soft. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quick healthy bite to eat.

I saw the ratings and Ginza express was closed, so I tried this place. Unfortunately for the price of the bowls, there is little of anything worthwhile. It may as well be a vegetable/fruit and rice bowl with a little sashimi on top for about $15-20.

Staff are friendly, service is prompt and the food is good. Free miso soup is always nice and they have a delicious "Wildberry Acai" smoothie that I often find myself craving. One of my favorite lunch spots!

I've been eating at this restaurant for a couple of years. The food quality is good, the service is okay but value has dropped. Both the prices and the tipping percentages were raised. My bowl of ramen a side of seaweed salad and a cup of water was a $27 lunch. I'm happy to tip for full service. But this is a self-service restaurant, you order at the counter, get your own drink, go back to the counter to pick up your food, and bus your table. Yet I feel like a 20% or 25% tip is expected as your stared down from the register while you're looking at the iPad. At that price point there are better nearby options such as Ginza Grill at 635 and Midway, Also counter service - good Poke, better sushi, better service, better value. If you want ramen, Higama Ramen on Beltline in Midway is a nice set down full service option, with great soup. Cbowls offers a punch card where after 10 bowls you get a free one. But as I was informed it's only for the poke bowls, not ramen - so again value issue. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day but not hello or thank you from the staff.

Paid close to 50 bucks for sushi that I ordered online. I got there after the time it was supposed to be ready. When I got there they said the cook was still making it and when I finally got it they said “sorry, the chef was on break, hope it looks ok”. it looked horrible lol. I hate leaving bad reviews but i’ve never felt played by a restaurant like this. it’s unfair. the sushi was falling apart and looked like a fourth grader made it. we had to eat it with a fork lol. i asked for spicy mayo and they said they don’t have any? anyways. not coming here again unfortunately. the kid was nice and i appreciate him covering for the lazy cook but this isn’t acceptable unfortunately

First time visit this place and it was amazing. All the ingredients are fresh and tasty. You can order any signature bowls or M.Y.O.B (make your own bowl) They have a paper where you can choose whatever you want to put in your bowl. The service is super fast. I ordered a togo bowl and it was ready less than 3 mins. They have a station for spoon, folk, chopsticks, soy sauce. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is nice too!

Excellent experience, and the family that runs the restaurant were fantastic

Fair prices, super fresh ingredients, good flavors. Would go back. Made my own bowl for just a little over $10 with salmon and kale. The fish is really good here.
