CBE Group - Debt collecting in Cedar Falls - 1309 Technology Pkwy, USA

Paid a debt I had no idea about. I have called twice in the last week requesting a simple transaction receipt to have confirmation and still haven't received anything. Terrible customer service and it's wild how top Google searches are wondering if this company is even legitimate. Mid American energy company uses them for collections. My debt has been paid but this company refuses to let me provide evidence of it. Life lesson of don't let bills go to companies like CBE group. They're barely functioning.

I spoke to someone who was so sweet. Vivian. I hope now that I can get this taken care of. But CBC Group is part of Credit Sage and I let them take money from me that was more than my debt. They lied and told me they would take it off my credit report. After awhile I had to stop them with no conclusion.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Called and asked for my social straight up gave me no info about who they were and why they called. Only found out through googling the number who it was. Then they blocked me when I respectfully called back about 25 times, just in response to all the missed and declined calls I constantly get from them. So I guess I won’t be able to know what they want! Good luck with your scam. If you were a legit company many things would have to be gone through in order to know my social, not as soon as I answer the phone.

I get text messages from them daily saying I owe money. When I go into the 3 major credit companies and check, it shows I have no debts. It all started randomly one day out of the blue after I bought a house, so Im assuming someone sold my info and now these crooks have it, of course now that I think about it the ATT data breach happened around the same time so I wonder if these people got my info that way.... Either way they can jump off a cliff.

This company is definitely a scam. They've been calling me for what seems like two years now, over a supposed medical debt. Just now they changed their tune and left a voice mail message to get me to call them back, saying I was pre-approved for a loan of up to $249,000 at 4.9% APR and then gave me a1-800 number to call back. Yeah right.

I worked with Elizabeth Karampatosos, she was extremely kind, caring and understanding, she explained everything so we would understand and helped us get things situated. I have dealt with others in the past who were extremely rude and disgraceful when trying to work with them. But with Elizabeth she just made it so easy and personal and made us feel like we could do this. I did the after survey and accidentally pressed the wrong number of one of the three questions but I am completely impressed and satisfied with her. I have never received such great care, understanding and respect from another. Thank you Elizabeth.

I would like to give 5 stars to Amy C.!! She was the ONLY customer service representative who was able to assimilate the information given, assess the issue, AND fix it!! It’s really too bad that after working with other staff at CBE it was over 2 months before someone (Amy) could fix the problem. Thank You Amy!!!

Kept calling me over and over despite me rejecting their calls and them never leaving messages. Finally answered to tell them to take me off their list assuming they were a political call/scam. She asked me to verify my address and then got an attitude and hung up on me when I refused to tell her my address without explaining what “CBE group” was related to.
