Cayo Esquivel Seafood - Seafood restaurant in Hialeah Gardens - 11890 NW 87th Ct #1, USA

This place was recommended, but we didn't understand the hype. I had the seafood parillada and it was a bust! The lobster they covered the reality with didn't even look legal in size. When I lifted the lobster what I found looked like a bag of frozen seafood from Costco. Bait sized shrimp and scallops that looked like someone's tooth. My husband had the corvina which he said didn't taste like Corvina nor was it flakey as expected for this type of fish....he had to use a knife to cut fish!!!! The only part of the meal we enjoyed were the fish croquetas. Won't be going back or recommending.

First of all the smell of this restaurant is very bad. Food was good but they charged us incorrectly but according to waitress it was ok, even though we know it was not. Simple explanation: we ordered two fried snappers one was bigger than the other and since they charged us $64 for both it doesn’t looked like they weighed it but instead they charged the same price for both. For customer transparency please charge it separately and with the weight on each fish, nonetheless we will not be coming back. We don’t like restaurants that are tricky when charging customers. You just lost good customer over $64 plus $15 tip bill with zero transparency. Service was good just the bill was tricky and since I didn’t understand it, we won’t be back. Thank you.

Since you arrive the staff is so happy to see you and is sincere. Very sweet waitress offered me a heavenly freshly squeezed Orange juice. Yum!!! They bring you this hit baguette with garlic bread to spread on it that is amazing!! The menu is rich and everything is delicious so is a place you want to put in the list. Not fancy but a great place to eat.

Nice fish restaurant in Hialeah Gardens. Ample menu. Very tasty dishes. The grilled snapper is really good.

This is the reason why you should never order to go at this place. The temperature of the food is so high at time is served to go that make the foam container melted and then you are going to consume the food with químics from the foam melted. Think twice your body does not deserve this.They do not care about your health but about your money. Why not to serve at right temperatures? And use aluminum containers?

I placed an ordered online for pickup. Who puts cold salad in the same container as the hot food by the time we got home the salad was soggy had to throw it away the tronchos de pescado were over fried so they were hard. To thi k we spent $50+ to throw away. Won't order from them anymore.

The seafood pasta was VERY good!!! I can't wait to come go back. Great place.

Our waitress was very nice,food was not good,after I paid bill I voiced my co ceres to manager named pepito,he did not like for me to practice my freedom of speach,he defended the non quality food,never will visit this place again, stay away
