My wife and I stayed here overnight on our trip a couple of years ago from Arkansas to Maryland to visit family. We live on a quiet farm so we felt quite at home in the quiet surroundings of the Cave Hill Farm Bed & Breakfast. Our room was very clean. We enjoyed a pleasant morning walk down the country road before our departure. We will likely stay here again on our next trip out to visit family in Maryland.

We had a lovely stay at this B&B. Everyone we met was helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with a fireplace. We loved the breakfast which had a wide selection and a delicious homemade quiche. We'd stay there again. Thanks!

My wife and I recently stayed recently for two nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The innkeeper was friendly and accommodated us with non feather pillows. There were a few things that we were disappointed in that would have improved our experience. When we stay in a bed and breakfast we are expecting more from the breakfast experience than what you can get at any standard hotel. We were shown the Kuerig coffee maker and the paper cups and were told to make our own coffee and tea. Having to wait until 9:00 for breakfast is just not acceptable for everyone. We had to leave earlier than 9:00 the second day and had to skip breakfast. This time of year there were a lot of black walnuts and leaves on the sidewalk. They were there for two days and it would have been nice if these would have been cleaned off the driveway. They were both a tripping and slipping hazard and created a mess on our shoes. We would also suggest that maps of the local parks, hiking trails and restaurants be available for guests. This b&b has potential and a wonderful history, hopefully improvements can be made to fulfill it.

This could be a lovely place with some TLC . If you are looking for a hostess with the mostest this is not your place. They are basically non-existent. There are not any extra amenities, like coffee mugs, water in frig. I had to ask for milk for my tea and she brought out a qt. and set it on the counter. No smiles here. If you want butter for breakfast you will have to ask. Breakfast itself was decent. Seemed we were just a nuisance to the female employee that works there. The owner certainly needs to step in and take more notice. It is in an absolutely beautiful part of Va. however I would look elsewhere for a place to stay. We did enjoy going over to the Cave Hill Brewery which is nearby.

Had a delightful stay at this beautiful historic home. We were greeted warmly and our hosts went out of their way to help us out. The breakfast were timely and generous and they happily adapted to a vegetarian option for us. Whilst the finishing aren’t perfect, I feel this is reflected in the very reasonable price. Having said that, our room was clean with some beautiful furniture. A highlight was the glow worms in the corn fields at dusk.

The description and reviews painted a picture of a quaint antique-filled farmhouse. I loved the antiques! The innkeepers showed us around the first floor of the farmhouse and told us Keurig coffee was available anytime. They said there were wine glasses on the buffet and water in the mini-refrigerator. They brought us to the bridal room, which was furnished in antiques. There was no closet and the armoire was too dusty to place our belongings. The only hook fell off the bathroom door. The following day we noticed our room had not been tidied. We had already made the bed but towels were not replenished and the shower gel dispenser, which was almost empty had not been refilled, and the tiny waste basket was not emptied. If the room was not to be cleaned after the first day either four sets of towels should’ve been in the room or extra towels delivered the following morning. There were juice glasses and a beautiful empty pitcher on the breakfast table but no juice or water. There was no water in the mini-refrigerator as mentioned. We planned to open a bottle of wine that evening but the only wine glass had a fingerprint. We wanted to learn more about the farm and cave but we barely saw the innkeepers during our stay. Cave Hill B&B is an interesting property with lots of potential but it needs a good cleaning and some Virginia hospitality.

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at Cave Hill Farm Bed and Breakfast. The home is beautiful and is decorated very tastefully. There is even a museum in the basement about the history of the home and the area which we both found very interesting. The home is settled close enough to town for convenience but also far enough away to enjoy the country views. We loved sitting out on the second story balcony and hearing the birds and the cows in the morning, and the peaceful atmosphere in the evenings. We stayed in the bridal suite which was very clean and the fireplace was a nice touch! Not to mention the host cooked a yummy breakfast both mornings of our stay :-) The bed was comfortable and there was a jacuzzi tub if you wished to take a bath. The only drawback (which pains me to write because the home is so beautiful), is that there are some touch ups that could easily make the home more appealing. There are some blinds that are broken and need replaced, some paint that could be touched up, and we noticed that there were random but multiple candles/odds and ends in the living room areas that seemed to distract from the decor of the home. It seems that maybe the B/B has been in new ownership recently but the hosts were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed! Aside from this we truly enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back if we visited the area again!

As others have mentioned, this is the nicest of the Massanutten resorts, and it really is a nice place to stay. Took a trip to Massanutten with some family, and we had a great time at the resort. We stayed a week during ski season and spent 2 days on
