Nestled in the heart of Philadelphia, Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse isn't just another sports bar; it's an experience. The moment you step inside, you're greeted with an ambiance that's both warm and inviting, a testament to the establishment's dedication to customer satisfaction. The food and drink menu is expansive, but it's their wings that truly stand out. Bold claim alert: these might just be the best wings in Philly. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy within, they're a must-try for any food aficionado in the city.
But the delights don't end with the food. Their drink selection is both diverse and impressive. Whether you're in the mood for a classic cocktail or something a bit more avant-garde, Cavanaugh's has got you covered. What elevates the entire experience, however, is the exceptional staff. Attentive, friendly, and always with a smile, they make sure your time there is memorable.
In conclusion, if you're in Philadelphia and looking for an exceptional bar and restaurant experience, look no further than Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse. It's not just about the food and drinks, but the memories you'll make. Highly recommended!
Great sports bar! There are tv's everywhere, and the atmosphere is exactly what you're looking for when watching a game. The pretzel bites were kind of hard and not very good, but other than that, we loved Cavanaughs.
This place is an absolute gem! I have been here on two separate occasions now while visiting Philadelphia and it is THE BEST sports bar to go to whether there is a game on or not. The atmosphere is beyond amazing & the wings are some of the best you will ever taste!
Decent happy hour drinks and food. We had $1 dogs for the Phillies opening day game and they were really good! The new space is nice. Their wings and loaded tots are also very good.
update: several of the bartenders downstairs are not friendly. I feel like some of them purposely ignore you. The first time we were here, we were upstairs and it was a different experience.
Great place to watch a game and grab some food... Mostly everything I've eaten here was above average for sure. If the main bar is crowd u can head upstairs. Plenty of tvs, good service too!
Honestly....I'm shocked I'm rating this 5 stars. Came here with a friend to watch the Phillies, and as a cocktail bar kind of person whose not big into sports, I had such low expectations.
Right away I liked that they were managing the crowd size. It was full but not overly crowded inside. We were the last ones in before they started managing the crowd, and a line quickly formed outside.
There was tons of seating inside, but we got there late so stood at the bar. If we get there earlier next time we could definitely get a seat.
Service was great and we were easily able to order. We both just got seltzers. The food all around us looked great too, nachos and such...and next time were back we plan on getting some!
It's a bittersweet time of year. This is a small Philly bar during college and professional football season. It was packed and the energy, as a sports fan, was great. However, knowing the crowd you will bring in you think there would be more than two bartenders seeing as 90% of the lower level is the bar and not tables. Each server, barback and bartender were all incredibly pleasant. I don't take anything away from them. The manager just needs to staff the place accordingly which was definitely not done the times I've been there in the last 1.5 months. Food is decent. Tried a few things between apps and sandwiches from the times I've been here. You won't be disappointed but won't be raving about it. Overall the staff is friendly, the food is okay, but the place has never been appropriately staffed for the size of the crowd so your going to wait quite a while for your drinks even if you're sitting at the bar.
Great spot for a craft beer. Plenty of screens and darts upstairs.

First of all, the folks in this cafe are the nicest people in Philly. Second, the service is fast, friendly, and helpful. But most importantly, the food is high quality, fresh, customizable and with big portions. Love the $12 lunch special!
