This is an amazing hike. The views are stunning on this hike, especially at the top. The hike itself isn’t too long, although there is lots of elevation gain. If it is hot in Las Vegas, it will be cooler here. There are also a few very big pine trees on this hike! Also, don’t forget to visit the waterfall, it is nice to see and maybe refill water bottle. Overall, very nice!
Such a gorgeous hike with some absolutely incredible views awaiting up on top. As far as hikes with solid elevation gain, this one didn’t feel nearly as challenging as it looked like it would be from the trailhead. Highly recommend, good for pretty much all ages and most physical abilities. Make sure to pack plenty of water.
This is one of my favorite hikes. I found this hike to be moderate Plus. The thousand foot elevation gain is no joke. Take it slow and steady to enjoy the view and feeling of accomplishment. So many beautiful sights along the way. The path is lined with stones. Several benches for those needing an extra break. It rained about 20% up for us and the smell was out of this world. The sent of pine and flowers was strong. I brought a backpack with water, fruit, and a couple other small bites to have a nice small lunch at the peak. The last push there were lots of stairs at a hefty grade but it was well worth it. Please please please don't litter, on our way back we picked up numerous water bottles people just discarded. This hike is beautiful, we all need to pitch in and keep it that way. I highly recommend going.
Quick but fun hike with amazing views. Be aware it’ll be much colder. It was 70 on the strip today but 45 at the trailhead. No parking fee and the parking lot doesn’t seem to close at any particular time of day.
Really good trail, I would recommend hiking shoes for the trail there are some slippery spots. Bring water parts of the trail are in open sunlight and still gets kinda hot.
Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking! Seriously, if you have breathing issues it can be a little difficult. I hike a lot but in the Appalachian mountains. It was slow going but worth it. Temperature was perfect at 75 degrees. Nice change from the temp on the strip.
One of my favorite places to come to. I’ve done this hike countless times, more than 99% of the hikers out there. I recommend this one to all peak baggers out there. Killer views, and a beautiful trail. I’d give it a 4 out of 10 in a difficulty level for your average hiker. You might see some animals. You will definitely see animal drippings, so be in a lookout. It’s a great hike.
The views are amazing so the 1.4 mile hike was definitely worth it. We brought our kids with us (1 year old on my back up to 11 years old), which made for a slower hike since we had to take lots of breaks (for the kids, of course!). There are nice benches to sit and take a rest on along the way. Parking is a bit hard to come by...I had to park in the lot behind the lodge/restaurant, but I wouldn't recommend it since you can get ticketed if you are not a customer there.
NOT an Easy trail for beginners, more of moderate to hard so be warned! 𤣠We travel because we'd rather look back at life saying "I can't believe I did that..." instead of "If only I had". ðMary Jane Falls Trail â¢Temp @ 76° â¢Elevation 7,70
Beautiful hike, Normally the creek is dry and there is no water at the Waterfall, but this year it was still plenty water and snow cave in the middle of the summer. You can do traditional hiking or you can do rappelling down the Waterfall, like
We initially booked a third floor room with a balcony, as we were so excited to be in the mountains with a balcony! When we arrived, I asked the front desk clerk if the hotel had an elevator and was surprised to find out they did not. To be fair, t
