Off the path and a rough road. Neat museum about the 1800's mining town. Great way to spend an afternoon with a side tour of the mine. I really enjoyed it. There is a food truck restaurant but it is only open on Friday,Saturday and Sundays. Neat stories in some of the exhibits.
There is a great amount to see here; a wealth of history. The mine was very neat and being the last tour of the day had its perks; we were in no hurry and the 'blacklight' areas were already primed so the colors were so much more vibrant. It was $75 each for both the walkthrough portion and the mine. The food truck was open until 4 so we grabbed a quick hotdog before our tour. Give yourself plenty of time to do the walk through portion. We started about 1.5 hours before our tour and probably needed another 45 minutes to complete it.
This is one of the BEST ghost towns and mines that the average person can visit! From the incredible mine tour that show cases countless rare and amazing relics of the 1800’s mining to rolling ore cars and a massive stope of fluorescent minerals making a spectacular show! The ghost town is well kept as well as amazing to walk through. My favorite is the saloon of course!
We had a good time! My kiddos loved exploring the old ghost town and seeing all the antiques. It took us a couple hours to walk through. Can’t wait to do the mine tours one day! Beautful scenery out this way too.
This is a cool little place to go and see and history! I didn't do the mine trip, which is $75, but paid the $21 to walk around the buildings. FYI, if you pay cash it is $20, but they charge $1 more for credit cards per person.
We had been wanting to visit this museum for a while. The weather was nicely cloudy and cool. There are so many buildings to walk through and see thousands of artifacts from early Arizona. And just when you think you've seen it all, you turn a corner to find more. There's also more down a walking trail, which I recommend spending the time and energy to explore. We didn't have time to take the mine tour. Maybe next time.
Turn on mm55 from Yuma on 95, down a bumpy dirt road. Pretty cool place. $20pp to walk around might be a bit much. Spent about an hour and half checking out old buildings and machines. Walked about 1-2 miles throughout the city "if" you walk the whole thing. Might go back for the mine trip $75pp. Only 2 other couples were there at 11am on Wednesday so you may have the place to yourself.
A great half day to full day trip to visit a ghost town or do both the mine tour and self guided ghost town adventure. plenty of local history of the silver mining that actually continues to this day, just not at this mine beautiful mountains in the background as well

We had a party of 6 and made reservations over the phone a few days in advance. They do not serve food, but allow outside food in (but not drinks). So, we brought in a charcuterie board from Simply Boxed, here in Yuma. The beer selection is outstan
Bit hard to find, but well worth the visit. Fantastic food and wine. Get whatever the owner recommends. He's the expert. Reminded me of my best experiences in Italy
This was recommended to us by someone and we had to stop by. The food was delicious and the service was great. We will definitely be coming back to try the other things on their menu.
