Castañeda's Mexican Food - Mexican restaurant in San Bernardino - 265 N Waterman Ave, USA

Ordered a shrimp burrito from the San Bernardino store and ended up biting into a pork burrito. Issue is, I DON'T EAT PORK!!! When calling the store, the man stated he remembered me and said my order back to me, I agreed. Instead of stating that maybe it's miscommunication because I clearly said shrimp and few times and he heard pork smh. He had no compassion, and no accountability. Instead of trying to fix the issue, he seemed to not care. Highly upset.

Everything we ordered was made fresh and tasted authentically delicious! Generous portion size. We're from out of town and quickly discovered that the immediate area is run down. A homeless man knocked on our passenger window and asked for a lighter while we were in the drive thru and then kicked some things in the parking lot right after we told him we didn't have one. Make sure your doors are locked and windows are up.

The main draw is that it's open 24 hours including for dining in. I prefer it over any fastfood. The menu has a lot of variety. Some items are overpriced, some items are a great bargain. Just avoid any of their nachos because they inexplicably don't know what nacho cheese is, which is disgraceful.

Their shrimp taco is proportioned large just like their fish taco! U will be satisfied with their ceviche serving size too! All greatly priced. Don't forget their Pina! If u don't like pulp then this is the drink for u.. barely any if that.

Food was amazing as always! The salsa and grilled pepper and onions were good too. The sevices was great, and it took less than five minutes to get my order. I recommend this place. Will come again!

Omg we finally found one close to us and let me tell you so, the food was better than ever. Fresh meat, fresh pico, the lady at the window was so so nice and sweet. I usually eat my food before taking photos but I had to take photos this time. Thank you so much for the food and hospitality.

The people that work here are super nice, even the cook was rad lol. The food was good and it was definitely all very fresh, also the food is much cheaper than other Mexican restaurants in the area. Salsa options were on point and in my opinion, the most important part of any taco shop is the salsa bar, hands down. They have 8 different salsa as well as all the other goods (pickled onions, carrots, grilled peppers, cucumbers, etc.) Te veo pronto!!!

Castañeda's burritos don't have rice and beans. Also, the pico de Gallo juice made my carnitas burrito soggy. I've ordered Their breakfast California burrito before, and on the other hand, its delicious. I was disappointed in their fries too. They have hits and misses on the menu. Parking is spacious and customer service is friendly.
