A great spot to hike our mountain bike. If you’re hiking, it’s quieter if you stick to the dedicated hiking trails.
Nice hiking trails, beautiful scenery. Trails can be a little buddy in places, so wear boots if it has recently rained. The old log cabin is really nice, although I hope the tiwn comes through on the repairs it needs.
Great view up the hill. Mountain bike trails (I followed the white markers) are well kept for the most part. Solid rock features for beginner/medium skill and good roots for hucking.
There was a downed tree on part of the trail, but they may have left it for hopping, I don't know.
Parking was easy, but be wary of the one way bridge!
A beautiful park, from the falls to the top of the mountain with wonderful Woodland trails in between.
Very nice little mountain trail system, definitely nothing strenuous, but a nice hike with a solid view at the top overlooking most of CT and beyond when it's clearer out I'm sure! Cool old cabin down at the bottom with some history behind it too!
Great place to go hiking/walking. The top of the mountain is super pretty. There are many trails and you can take a short hike or a super long one, whatever you decide. Have had a picnic here in June it was very nice
Great trails but there are quite a few so you have to pay attention or put on your GPS and mark where you parked. Your short walk could turn into a very long hike. The main trails are marked and then there are paths that go off on there own. We saw lots of wildlife, my daughter loved the pond and the ducks. The bridge was beautiful with all those arches. Made for a nice cool and relaxing walk through the woods with just enough adventure for the little one. Would love to go back without the younger ones and explore more of the mountain.
Great mix of technical and non technical trails. Beautiful view of Hartford from the summit. Great spot for trail running and mountain biking as well. The white trail seems to be the main easier trail. Starts from the lower lot at the bottom of the water fall. Above the waterfall is the pink trail. Both go to summit (about 1.5 miles of fairly easy walking)
This is one of the nicest trails in the town of Vernon, CT. Hop River State Park Trail Church Street Station.
No matter what time of year it is, you'll enjoy the view. In winter, it's great to go snow shoeing or cross-country skiing. In spring, you'
This has been my go to Thai place for the last couple of months. I generally get the pineapple fried rice here and it is very good, good taste, good amount, etc. They are always packed and busy so parking can be a bit tight where they are. If you are
