Went to go see the Christmas Lights at Cascade Park this evening for $5.00 a carload with a very good female friend. We went around twice and we enjoyed the music and all the spectacular lights.
Very nice park. No bathroom . They added a pet food pantry which I think is a wonderful idea. The dog park 95% of the time has bags to clean up after your dog. The garbage cans are very rarely full. And the people that you meet there are always pleasant to chat with. They maybe should put a restroom near the dog area. I enjoy taking my dog there.
Very nice park to go walking in. There is an area for kids to play also. But not much else to do there. It's always nice to get Italian ice during the summer time. Great to play pokémon GO.
Visit Cascade Park to see the remnants of the amusement park that used to be here. I read the history of the park before going, and it was so interesting to see that some of the original buildings are still standing.
The old carousel building, the old pool house, and the remnants of the roller coaster were great to see.
The website mentions that there are plaques throughout the park, however I only saw one on the carousel building.
There is a very short walking trail, and a small waterfall here as well.
I love visiting places that still have a link to the past, and this park does just that. Thank you New Castle for keeping this gem in great condition.
Been here several times over the years. Specifically for Family Reunions. Most recently to see the beautiful Christmas light display. Nice park. Has walking trails, a waterfall, picnic pavilions, etc.
I seen a blue crane for the first time in the wild with my own eyes. The geese were friends and used to ppl. It was very quiet and beautiful. I also like reading the history especially about the carousel building.
Really cool park with an awesome waterfall. We loved it and so did the dogs.
Would be cool to spend a whole day there and explore all of the remnants from the old amusement park.
Sad to see nothing happening at Cascade park. Too see the swimming pool abandoned. Had many great memories at Cascade park. I remember when they did the hunted house around 1990. Many great memories with my Dad and siblings. Should do another hunted soon. I think it will be a great turnout. 🙂

By far the best gym in the New Castle area. The owner and staff are welcoming, state of the art equipment, extremely clean, and the music is always on point. Also, had a chance to talk to the owner, Mike, and the man oozes charisma and health & fitne
Had a wonderful stay at the Jacqueline House. Becky, Patty and Kristen could not have been nicer. So helpful with everything we needed. It was our first stay there and we felt very welcome. Have never stayed at a cleaner place and we have staye
This place is so cool! We started with a wine tasting, then a delicious dinner of pizzas and pasta⦠and more wine! After dinner we enjoyed talking with the owner before relaxing in front of the outside fire pit. I highly recommend everything!
I had the pleasure of trying Turco's buffalo chicken pizza, and it was an absolute delight! The flavors were simply outstanding, with the perfect balance of spicy buffalo sauce and tender chicken. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness. The crust was
GP is a wonderful place to get fit! I first brought my daughter here to regain strength after a gymnastics injury. After seeing the facility and trainers I began working out here too. From youth to adults the trainers have a plan for everyone. I am
We just visited for the first time after seeing the good reviews here. Our dinner was fantastic, but WOW the deserts were phenomenal!
Be careful on their very slippery floors though! IDK if they were greasy or probably just a bad choice of flooring.
