Cascade Falls is a beautiful waterfall on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. It is easily accessible and is only about a .75 mile hike from the main road to the falls. The views of Lake Tahoe and Cascade Lake along the way to the falls are fantastic, and in mid summer at peak snowmelt the falls were roaring.

This is a point on the way to Cascade Falls. Offers wonderful view of Cascade Lake as well. The trail is rocky and challenging for the knees if someone is not used to hiking. However, the views are rewarding once you make it through.

Short 1.9 miles out and back hike with steady elevation gain. Few snowy patches late May (memorial day weekend). A symphony of water, rock, and ethereal beauty awaits at Cascade Waterfall, an awe-inspiring masterpiece nestled amidst the majestic landscapes of Lake Tahoe. Prepare to be enchanted as nature unveils its grandeur in a cascading spectacle that resonates with the very essence of wonder. The hiking trail leading to Cascade Waterfall is a delightful journey through nature's embrace. As we followed the path, flanked by towering pines and gentle whispers of the wind, anticipation built with each step. The trail unfolded like a secret pathway, guiding us to the heart of this natural marvel. Reaching the observation point, we were rewarded with an unparalleled view. The waterfall, framed by rugged cliffs and lush greenery, presented a tableau that defied description. It was a moment frozen in time, a masterpiece painted with nature's brushstrokes and illuminated by the golden light of the sun. Cascade Waterfall is a sanctuary for the soul, a place where one can find solace and connect with the raw power and delicate beauty of nature. The symphony of water cascading, the invigorating mist that lingers in the air, and the harmony of the surroundings create an experience that transcends the ordinary. In conclusion, Cascade Waterfall at Lake Tahoe is a must-visit destination for those who seek to be captivated by the raw beauty of nature. Prepare to be enthralled as you witness the harmonious dance of water and rock, and immerse yourself in a symphony that resonates with the deepest chords of your being. Allow Cascade Waterfall to serenade your senses and leave an indelible mark on your journey through life's grand tapestry.

Cascade Falls is my favorite hike in SLT. The hike isn't long or strenuous and offers amazing views of Cascade Lake and Falls. The trail ends just above the falls where there is ample flat granite to sit beside the river and listen to the rush of the water. The trail isn't mainstream just yet, so it's not overcrowded on the trail and certainly not at the falls. The Bayview campground is now permanently closed to make way for additional parking. You'll need to find a spot along the road or across the street at the viewpoint, which has a $10 fee for more than 30 minutes (under 30 is $5). They've updated so you can pay the fee via an app. In the past, Verizon service was spotty here, ATT was just fine.

This trail is absolutely beautiful! It's not too hard, but there are definitely some rocky areas that require a little more energy. I saw one couple with a stroller, and it's definitely too rocky for that. The view is really pretty! There wasn't much water at the waterfall in September, but it was still a cool sight. There's not much shade on this trail. There is some parking along the road and then you walk through a campsite to get to the trail. There is parking at the trailhead, but it's limited. There are bathrooms available before the trailhead as well. Dog friendly! My dog had a blast.

Loved this hike. It is rather steep in places and it is a busy trail. The views are wonderful and worth the hike. The falls didn't have any water but we expected that. I would recommend it for the beauty and views.

To start our hiking season we choose cascade falls again. We had hiked last year in the summer when the water was less. May and June are the best months to view water fall in Tahoe. A little snow on the trail but we really enjoyed the large water fall today.

Amazing hike… it’s a bit hard as the path is steep and narrow with rocks. As some reviews mention this is no way near flat. Great views from the top.

Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners. There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job! It

The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The

Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.

I did a late season snowshoe hike around Big Meadows in early June. Most of the snow still covered the trail, except for the sunny side of the hills. The creek coming from the Meadows was full and rushing. The hike was relatively short and easy.

The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
